Mike sat in the bedroom as he stared at the kitchen door. His shirt seemed to have many more wrinkles compared to a few minutes ago and there was a small damp are between his legs.
’It’s been atleast two minutes since the sounds stopped... what are they even doing in there?’
Just as his thoughts surfaced in his mind, the door opened. Amon walked in with black lipstick smeared on and around his lips while he wore a satisfied smile on his face.
"Change of plans. We’re going out to hunt the second we have the night active. I wish to rank up and well... we’ll be taking some risks this time." he said as he looked at Mike who was sitting in a corner.
Nyx walked out from the kitchen once he finished speaking and her face was just as messy as his. It looked like they had tried to eat each others faces instead of kiss like proper humans.
"You two should take a look in a mirror first." Mike said as he tried to hold his laughter. No matter how jealous or hurt he felt, the sight was one of a kind.
"Yeah I know about the lipstick. I’m not going to be cheap when it comes to stuff like this... or should I say, dumb? Anyways, we’ll get better stuff once we head to the green zone." Amon said as he rubbed the area around his lips on his arm.
He then shook his head and walked into the bathroom with Nyx right behind him. For some reason, she seemed to have decided to roleplay as his shadow.
’To think that one day I’ll see the great Nyx act like a damn teenager in love... seriously, who would expect a twenty year old to act like she’s never experienced this stuff.’ Mike thought inwardly and sighed.
It didn’t take long for the couple to walk out. Amon didn’t say a word as he began doing push-ups.
"Don’t you think you’re going to tire yourself out before our hunt?" Mike asked as he glanced at Nyx, hoping she would stop him but the girl seemed to be in her own little world.
Amon didn’t stop while he replied, "Nope. I’ll just drink a potion or something."
"... where are you even getting all these things?" Mike asked, his tone softer this time as it was taboo to ask such questions.
He had expected a complete rejection but to his surprise, Amon didn’t seem to mind.
"In short, you can say that I have sugar mommies waiting to jump onto my embrace. They’ll pay how much ever I want to get such a chance." he said and smirked as an influx of angry messages covered his sight.

Mike stared at Amon in silence before shaking his head, "You’ve changed way too much...."
This time, Amon didn’t respond as he switched from push-ups to sit-ups. Time quickly passed as Amon slowly completed all his exercises. He went out for a run and once that was done, he used the boulder nearby to help with his last ’task’.
He rammed it with his shoulder repeatedly and once he felt like his shoulder couldn’t handle any more beatings, he switched to the other side. Once that was done too, he broke his fists, knees, shins and his feet.
Mike and Nyx watched in horror as Amon lay on the ground, the surface dark red while his body had a layer of blood and soil.
"Grab a stick... and hit me. My chest... my abdomen and my back... don’t forget my thighs and... my head. Punch and slap my face too. This is necessary..."
Mike did not take a single step as he stared in horror. He had never seen anyone voluntarily hurt themselves on such a level.
Meanwhile, Nyx did as she was told. She grabbed a stick and gave him a thorough beating, making sure he took care of his face too.
’... I hope the one who made this quest dies painfully...’ Amon thought as stared at the system screen in front.
