The group appeared in an alleyway that was pretty wide but empty. Amon turned his head to the side and spotted the Gabora Gang’s hotel.
Bora Mansion.
Amon got out his system screen and moved to the "family" section before clicking on the chat function. His system upgrade did come with a lot of quality of life upgrades.
He looked at the list and found Yulan’s name.
Yulan - Slave
Chuckling slightly, he began writing his message with his mind. There was no need to click on the letters himself.
Amon: You’ve done a good job until now. I’ll be joining your gang to speed things up so I want you to pick us to work under you.
Soon, he received a reply.
Yulan (Slave): I’m at the Mansion, sir. I will be waiting for your arrival.
"Let’s go." Amon said as he moved towards the mansion, his actions instantly alerting the men standing guard.
After the recent successful skirmishes against the Red Baron Gang, everyone was at a high alert while also having a great morale.
"Oi! Who are you guys?! This place is not for weirdos." one of the guys nearby yelled as he walked towards them, his mohawk moving slightly in the process.
Mona took a step forward and crossed her arms under her chest, "We’re here to join. We don’t like the Red Barons so we want to fuck them up."
"Hahahahhaah!! Hell yeah! We wouldn’t mind having a beauty like you in our gang!" the guy yelled as he stared at her curves. The guys around him roared with laughter while welcoming them in their own crude way.
"Let me guide you in, respectful guests." a guy in a suit said as he bowed at the door.
Amon looked at him and nodded to himself. He was a personification of what a proper butler should be. A nice trim, a professional look, respectful speech and body language.
It was like he was a completely different person, a sheep lost in a clan of hyenas.
"Thank you." Amon replied as he too bowed, but not as much at the man in front.
Soon, they were inside and with just a first look, they could all say that this mansion was completely different from the Golden Palace.
It didn’t have rooms at either sides of the corridors like a regular hotel would. No, it was an actual mansion where people rented one of the rooms.
"This place looks so nice...." Letty commented as she looked around, making the guide chuckle.
"Indeed, the boss put a lot of thought into the mansion’s design. If you were regular guests, I would stop here but there’s a lot more to our mansion." he said as he looked back and smiled.
"There are two floors underground. One is a casino and the other is a party hall. They are specifically for our VIP’s and they come here every single day. We sell drugs, slaves, weapons and even mercenary services if they need any."
He guided them up the stairs and took them to a room that looked like a art gallery. The guide walked straight to a painting and pressed his finger against the bottom right corner.
Amon sensed the sudden change in mana fluctuation. The tip of the guy’s finger focus fired a beam of mana into the corner of the painting frame.
In an instant, the frame split into multiple small cubes and moved to the side, forming an entrance.
"Please, follow me."
Amon and the rest nodded as they walked behind him, climbing down a spiral staircase that was lit by fire torches that did not produce any smoke.
"These are fuelled by mana. We just have to recharge if once every week." he explained as he continued going down until they got to a door.
He grabbed the door handle and once again, there was a mana fluctuation before the door opened, revealing a bustling dance floor. There were couches, a huge bar, a separate stage just for dancing and a DJ stood on a floating platform with all his apparatus.
As someone who had gone to a few clubs, even Amon couldn’t help but feel like a country bumpkin. There were partitions and rooms at the circumference of the huge circular room along with the couches and tables.
"The boss is right there, my dear guests. Please follow me." he said as he walked towards Bora who was sitting in one of the VIP open rooms, which was basically just a partition since it had just three walls and no door.
Amon spotted Yulan sitting on a single seated couch right beside Bora and smiled slightly, which was covered by his mask.
Bora looked up at the group of masked people and raised his eyebrows, "If it was some other time, I would have let you guys joins and even send you out with my guys to level up but now is not a good time. We are at a war with the Red Barons and a lot of people will be injured. Death is also possible and I do not wish to recruit newbies right now."
"We’re all awakened. A, B, D, E and F rank awakened." Amon said as he looked at Bora and scrutinised him while speaking, "I want Raul’s head and I hope we can work together."
Bora stared at Amon for a few moments before downing an entire glass of whiskey.
"Ugh. A fucking A rank and you want to join me... why?"
"I prefer higher chances of success and working with you will help me chip at him until he has nothing left. I want him to feel the despair, the sense of loss... of losing everything and having nothing when he dies."
Bora poured himself a bit more whiskey before glancing at his son and then looked at the group of masked people, "I’m assuming revenge. Sure, we can work together but who’s your leader?"
"Me. I’m a D rank."
"Huh? A D rank is the leader of a group that has both A and B rank awakened? That’s new... but anyways, you’ll have to follow our traditions and prove yourself. The stronger person you fight, the more our men will respect you. It’ll be easier to get them to do your dirty work too."
"Fine, send a C rank to me. I’ll prove myself."
