Mikayla followed behind Aron and Letty while they killed the rat monsters that spawned at a distance of 20-30 meters.
Midway through the dungeon, both their wands broke into pieces.
"Ah.. it broke." Aron said as he turned to look at Mikayla who sighed in response.
"Why did you guys pick a class that didn’t give you any skills? I bought you the wands twice and now I’m broke." she said and shook her head, "Let’s head back out and sell the loot we obtained until now."
Aron nodded slowly before he glanced at Letty, "We should’ve just asked my brother for help. He gave that elf fifty thousand coins so he should be able to spare us some too."
"He helped us awaken. I think that’s already priceless." Letty fired back, "You can’t keep asking him for more and more just because he’s rich!"
Aron shrugged and turned towards Mikayla, "Can’t you kill the boss like last time? We’ll at least get some loot that way."
"Firstly, I do not have enough damage. I’m not like Nyx who can just wait for a good opportunity and deal a crazy amount of damage. I’d have to land hundreds of hits on the boss and I’d also need help from you guys. Without your wands, that isn’t possible now is it? I also don’t have enough stamina to keep fighting for long enough to kill the boss on my own."
"Alright..." Aron muttered and began to walk towards the exit while Letty sighed and followed behind.
Mikayla shook her head and walked towards the exit with them, ’These two are hopeless... they act like scared little mice when things get out of hand and aaaah I wanna punch Aron.’
It didn’t take them long to walk out and once they did, Aron opened up his market.
"Wow this armor looks nice..." he said and before anyone had the chance to stop him, it was in his hands.
Mikayla barely gave him a glance before heading towards the road, "I’m going home. I have no interest in babysitting idiots."
’But I didn’t do anything...’ Letty protested in her mind before glaring at Aron and let out a soft sigh.
"Let’s go sign up as mercenaries for hire at the academy. We’ll have a bigger party that’s more reliable that way." he said as he glanced at Mikayla, "What’s the point of having an E ranker with us when she doesn’t do shit?"
Letty’s eyes opened wide as she looked at Mikayla. She was still pretty close to them, close enough to hear every single word he said but she didn’t look back.
"Aron... you..." she frowned as she tussled with the idea of reprimanding him, only to give up. He never really listened to her in the past and this wasn’t going to be any different.
"Okay... let’s go."
Mikayla walked for a few hundred meters before shaking her head.
’There’s people like that everywhere. Let’s just go back home...’

Amon walked out of the mansion with a different map this time but instead of heading straight to work, he took a detour and entered a tall building. It was a hotel that wasn’t connected to any of the gangs.
After booking a room for the night, he walked in and closed the door behind him before he took out all the skill scrolls from his belt.
Aright let’s see....
"Sixty seven D rank skill scrolls, twelve C rank and two B rank ones." he muttered as he segregated them.
’Stream on.’
He stared at the skill scrolls in front and took a deep breath before placing his hand on top of the D rank skill scroll pile.

Amon glanced at his mind points that were at 812 at the moment and decided to invest some of it in his skill.

Once the upgrade was done, he checked the skill information once again and saw the damage conversion values change.

"Now that’s what I’m talking about." he muttered as he glanced at the C and B rank scrolls and shook his head, "It’s better to take it slow."
He then opened up the market and looked for weapons.
’I wonder which weapon I should be going for... hmm. Nyx uses daggers and swords, Mikayla is good with daggers but rapier works better for her. Maybe daggers too but I guess we’ll see... as for Elena, I guess since she’s a mage, a staff would suit her best. What about me?’
As someone who had been fighting barehanded all this time, he really was lost on which weapon he wanted to buy.
He thought for a while before checking his stats.

I guess I’ll just fuck around and see how it goes.’ he thought as he scrolled through the market for just a few minutes before giving up.
"System, help me out will ya? Scan through the market and filter weapons that suit me well. Focus on durability but the lower the cost, the better."
