Ashton Heath sat lightly on the edge of the bed, gently placing his large hand on the girl’s blushingly tender face, and stroking her soft cheek with the palm of his hand.
He lowered his voice and said, "Baby, I’m sorry. Forgive me for not being able to control myself. Next time...I’ll be careful."
The little one on the bed was already asleep, naturally, she couldn’t hear what he said.
In fact, Joanna Lawrence later realized that even if she heard, it wouldn’t make any difference.
