"No, they're not targeting us," Lin Yifan answered.
"Not us? Then who could it be?" An Qi continued to inquire.
"I don't know. They were crawling into the jungle," Lin Yifan answered.
"What are they doing crawling into the jungle?" An Qi asked.
"I don't know, maybe they're resting, or maybe they're off to lay eggs or mate or something," Lin Yifan answered, though he actually had no clue what the sea snakes were up to.
"You're such a pervert! All you think about is laying eggs and mating," An Qi accused.
"Uh...was what I said wrong?" Lin Yifan was at a loss for words.
The sea snakes kept crawling deeper into the jungle, wave after wave, never ending.
After a while, An Qi asked, "Pervert! Have those sea snakes cleared out yet?"
"No, they're still continuously coming out of the sea," Lin Yifan answered.
"There's more? Why are there so many?" An Qi was very puzzled.
"I don't know," Lin Yifan responded.
At that moment, An Qi suddenly thought of a terrifying possibility, "Could it be Snake Island?"
Thinking it over, Lin Yifan answered, "That's possible."
"What do we do then? Should we leave?" An Qi asked, frightened and worried.
"Leave? In this vast sea, where would we go?" Lin Yifan questioned.
"So what do we do now? We can't just stand here and wait to die, right?" An Qi asked.
"We'll just have to play it by ear," Lin Yifan sighed, not knowing what else to do.
However, his inaction only led to a scolding from An Qi, "Aren't you a psychic? Can't you fly? How can you be so useless?"
"Who said that all psychics can fly? I'm a strength-type psychic, get it?" Lin Yifan retorted.
He hadn't mastered qinggong, so how could he fly over this vast sea?
"Humph! You're just useless," An Qi snorted as she taunted.
"Useless you want? Wouldn't that make you even more useless?" Lin Yifan immediately got unhappy. Then he attempted to push An Qi away, trying to set her down on the ground to face the swarming sea snakes alone.
Feeling Lin Yifan trying to put her down, An Qi immediately got scared and cried out, "Pervert! What are you trying to do? Don't put me down on the ground! Don't!!!"
"You said I'm useless, right? Then you can face them alone, see how tough you are," Lin Yifan answered, continuing to push An Qi away.
While holding tightly to Lin Yifan, An Qi quickly started to suck up, "No! The pervert is the hero in my eyes, unbeatable, awesome to the max! Don't put me down! Don't!"
Upon hearing An Qi sucking up, Lin Yifan stopped what he was doing, then snorted, "Hmm! Realized your mistake, huh? Always so easy to criticize without understanding how harsh reality is."
"I was just venting a bit, can't you even tolerate that? Not manly at all, Humph!" An Qi said indignantly.
"Alright! Since that's the case, to prove I'm a man, let's go into the jungle together and figure out what these sea snakes are up to," Lin Yifan suggested.
"No! Don't go! You're already very manly, you don't need to prove anything," An Qi internally resisted, as snakes were one of the animals she feared most.
"We have to go! How can we not? Just some sea snakes, what's there to be afraid of?" Lin Yifan advised calmly, his tone filled with sarcasm.
"You're not scared, but I am," An Qi responded.
"Ah! So timid, not womanly," Lin Yifan shook his head and sighed.
"You... are you trying to infuriate me on purpose?" An Qi's expression changed, angered.
"Fine! Let's go! Who's afraid of whom?" An Qi, unable to take it anymore, decided to face the challenge with Lin Yifan.
"Then come on down," Lin Yifan called out.
"I won't! I want to stay close to my future husband," An Qi shamelessly responded.
Despite her tough talk, her heart was filled with fear; thus, she dared not touch the ground, terrified of being bitten by a sea snake.
If she were bitten by a sea snake, she'd be done for, as sea snakes are among the top ten most venomous creatures in the world, extremely toxic.
"Humph! Let's see how long you can keep your tough act," Lin Yifan said, then holding An Qi and carrying a torch, followed the last wave of sea snakes into the jungle.
