My Ultimate Blacksmith System Chapter 11

Chapter 11: Miss Oopsie Daisy

Her pale skin made me question my rationale for a moment. Looking at her, I couldn’t tell if she was human or a ghost. She had white hair, skin as pale as snow, and her eyes were a deep shade of purple. She wore a dark cloak, black leggings, and a purple skirt over it.

"Please don’t hurt me," she said, her voice soft and timid. She was trembling like a wet rat.

"Who are you?"

"My hero name is Luna, but I’m not part of any faction." She spoke quickly, waving her hands frantically.

Faction? What is she talking about?

"I-I only came here because I didn’t want to bother anyone. I didn’t mean any harm to you. I just wanted—" She was speaking so fast that I couldn’t understand a word she was saying. "Can you please—"

"Shut up!"

She flinched. But just when I thought I had snapped her out of her nonsense, a puddle began to form around my feet. I looked down to see it was urine.

What in the hell?!

Her face turned beet red, and before I could utter a word, she passed out. I was dumbfounded, to say the least. Awkward situations seemed to follow me wherever I went. So much had happened in the span of a few minutes that it took me a while to process everything.

As it was getting dark, I decided to carry her unconscious body inside the cave. After searching for some firewood and bringing it back, I used my newly acquired attribute—fire essence—to light a fire to keep us warm.

Now that things had calmed down a bit, it was time to do some checks.

My health improved after I started living with Alliah. My next goal was to master my new skill.

"How do I master Godly Craft?"

[YOU MASTER THIS SKILL BY CRAFTING A SUPREME GRADE WEAPON OUT OF RAW MATERIALS]

The only way to find a supreme grade weapon is to enter dungeons. Right now, it was a special situation, but how else would I be able to obtain them? Anyway, I still have this exam to worry about, so I’ll just focus on that for now.

"Open weapon’s stats."

[OPENING WEAPON’S STATS]

WEAPON NAME: BLADE OF CALAMITY

WEAPON TYPE: DAGGER

LEVEL: DIVINE GRADE

SHARPNESS: 30

DURABILTIY: 23

WEIGHT: ∞

ATTRIBUTE: INVISIBILITY

Huh? It says the weight of the weapon is infinite. I balanced the blade on my finger; it felt like I was holding air. It was also aerodynamic, as I realized during my fight with the hyenas. When I threw it, it was like I launched a high speed bullet from my fingertips.

I had a lot of questions. One was about why my blade upgraded to Divine grade instead of Premium.

[THAT IS SIMPLE, YOU EXCEEDED THE REQUIREMENTS NEEDED FOR A PREMIUM BLADE HENCE IT UPGRADED TO A DIVINE GRADE WEAPON INSTEAD]

I then shifted my focus to the attribute it gained: invisibility. I activated the attribute, and the blade changed subtly; it had a glossy look to it, but it was still visible—at least to me. Next, I moved to check the stats for the Middle Finger.

[OPENING WEAPON’S STATS]

WEAPON TYPE: KATANA

LEVEL: PREMIUM GRADE

SHARPNESS: 35

DURABILTIY: 50

WEIGHT: 45

I still had 17 points remaining. I decided to use 10 and kept 7 in case I needed to use ’Godly Craft’ again, which requires 5 points.

I had a feeling it would be harder to upgrade the Middle Finger to a Divine grade blade than it was for the Blade of Calamity.

Just then, Miss ’Oopsie Daisy’ woke up.

Ahh, how did I end up dealing with a toddler?

Her eyes wandered around the cave like a scared kitten until she saw me. She sprang to her feet, ready to run off, but then sat back down just as quickly. She must have felt the wetness from her little incident.

She seemed embarrassed, as she held her head down in shame without bothering to acknowledge me presence.

"I’m sorr—"

"You’re gonna need a change of clothes," I interrupted before she could start freaking out again.

Still keeping her head down, she mumbled, "I have some."

She didn’t have a bag with her, so the only place it could be is...

"Do you have an inventory in your system?"

She nodded.

Not that I was one to talk, but this girl had no social skills. I could here the slight tremble in her voice as she spoke. A heavy sigh escaped me as I got to my feet.

"I’ll leave so you can change."

I exited the cave to wait until she was finished changing. After a while, I spotted her at the entrance, seemingly ready to leave. I approached her, and that timid expression returned to her face.

What is her problem?

"I think you should stay here for the night," I suggested, gesturing for her to go back into the cave, but she looked like she had no intention of doing so. "Is there something the matter? If you want something, just say it."

"Umm, it’s just that... your mask..."

The words seemed to be caught in her throat. What is it about my mask? Did she want me to take it off? Now that I think about it, my appearance probably wasn’t the friendliest. Waking up in a cave surrounded by dead wolves wasn’t the ideal situation either. Maybe it was my strange behavior that was causing her to act this way.

Following her hint, I took off my mask.

"Is this better?"

She nodded and smile came on her face.

"I don’t want to be a bother to you."

"You won’t. It will be a lot safer in here than out there."

"O-ok then, thank you." she said, giving me a polite bow.

We both went back inside the cave and sat at opposite ends of each other. She seemed a little more comfortable since I took off my mask. But given how she was acting, I didn’t expect her to be the one to speak to me. Then...

"You’re less scary without your mask on." Her words were barely audible, almost like a whisper. She averted her eyes shyly and sat with her hands wrapped around her knees, as if she wanted to melt into the walls of the cave. "Sorry for asking, but umm... what faction are you a part of?"

Faction?
