The day for Liam passed faster or slower. He spent it doing nothing at home but chatting with his friends, and watching movies in the mansion’s private theatre.
He was naturally bombarded with questions by the boys as they asked him about the car and its specifications. Even the girls were curious about the car.
Liam didn’t hold back as he gave them the juicy details they wanted. He told them the name of the car, its specifications and every other details.
While these details were juicy, what actually interested the boys was the car’s top speed and when he told them that it’s 255mph 1 , they were very impressed.
255mph already puts the car among the fastest cars in the world and it even beats McLaren previous record of 250mph. It can actually be said that it’s one of their best hypercars yet.
But unfortunately for the public, it’s a one-off. If it wasn’t, they will definitely want to get their hands on it.
At least, that was what the boys were thinking until they heard the price. $7m wasn’t amount they will be able to splurge on cars that easily or even ever.
Unlike Liam that has access to unlimited wealth and has unlimited spending power, they don’t have that. They are at the mercy of their families and there was no way that they can save up their allowances to get a car of that amount. It was close to impossible.
The boys couldn’t help but feel a little depressed but that was all to it. If at all, they were actually happy and that was for two reasons.
The first reason was for Liam. They share in his happiness too. Getting a one-off commission means a lot and it can be said to the dream of nearly every car lover.
The second reason was because they can beg Liam to allow them take the car out for a ride. Though they have no idea if he will agree to it.
But you know what they always say? You never know until you try.
They will give it a try first.
As for Liam’s identity, at this point, there was no more debating it. A $70m+ mansion, private chopper of $20m+, a luxury super yacht of $300m+ and one-off commissioned car of $7m. .
If he’s not from a crazy billionaire family, then he’s probably the secret controller of the world’s economy. But even they feel that even if there’s the chance that he’s theoretically the world’s economy, he still shouldn’t be able to splurge so much.
According to their calculation, he has spent more than $500m in two weeks. That’s an insane amount of money to splurge even for billionaire families.
But they were also aware that Liam would only keep being more mysterious to them as they days passed, though that didn’t matter to them. They might never get to find out which family he comes from but they were happy just being his friends.
Even if he’s not from a powerful family or a billionaire family, and he’s as ordinary as the report say, it won’t change anything as he’s someone they deeply connect with.
But as for him being ordinary, that was impossible. If he’s from an ordinary background, then they and others like them have no background at all.
As for Liam, the chat wasn’t the highlight of his day but the fact that he got the confirmation from Daniel as promised. He has expected to get it somewhat later in the evening but he got it almost an hour after the call.
Maybe because of his now higher VIP status, they made the preparations faster. Or maybe it was because the place he’s visiting in Geneva was the Rothschild private vault.
Yes, Liam told Daniel that the reason for his visit to Geneva. It wasn’t something he could keep to himself as they were also no need for it.
By informing Daniel, Liam already have everything taken care of. As the leader of his private banking team, he will call the private vault and make the necessary arrangements for Liam’s visit.
The private vault isn’t some place Liam can just waltz into and expect to get attended to. He has to follow protocols. If he doesn’t call ahead and provide means for identification so that the organisation can prepare, then they won’t attend to him.
When Liam thought of the amount of stress Daniel has saved him from, he smiled. He really loves the easy life he’s living now. It’s the immesurable amount of comfort that money can get you. The right amount of money to be precise.
But the best highlight of his day was the fact that the trust was ready. Janelle had told him that it will ready by tomorrow but it was ready by dinnertime.
With the trust ready, Liam can proceed with things related to his future company. He had actually told Daniel to start creating it and it should be ready in five days.
It naturally shouldn’t take that long but the company can’t be created directly. It has to be created under a holding company like an LLC, then the tech company will be slotted under it as a subsidiary. That way, it will be harder for people trying to dig to into the company owner’s identity in the future.
As for Liam, he wasn’t exactly in a hurry to start pumping out the tech into the market yet. He had actually taken the whole of the day to think about the two techs.
As for the result of that? He decided against launching the quantum chip publicly. He will create it but use it personally for something else.
The reason for the change was because he has thought about it and he felt that just the gear glass would be more than enough. There was no need releasing the chip publicly.
Wasn’t Liam trying to limit himself by doing this? Isn’t this against his character? The answer to both was no.
The gear glass’ something that will disrupt the tech market more than the chip would and also destabilise the world. Also, releasing just it will help him to contain the dark things people will try to perpetrate with his technology.
With the functions Liam already have planned in mind for the gear glass, it’s going to be the biggest tech in the world for possibly decades to come.
And the fact that replicating it in any form would be something impossible, would also make the tech even bigger.
This is going to be the same for the chip if he’s going to release it. He will make hundreds of billions from just selling it. That was an amount of potential profit no corporation will ever give up. But Liam can.
He had already played scenarios in his head of the chip being used to create very advanced weapons, engineer extremely deadly bioweapons and all other sort of things. And that was what the reason why he’s going to be giving up the profit.
His intention for both techs was for them to be used for the advancement of the human civilisation. But if they are going to indirectly make him an arms dealer, then he will just keep the chip to himself.
He could stomach greed, envy, even government control. But blood? Absolutely no way. If his technology ever became the reason children died in some war zone or the reason why a deadlier version of the previous pandemic breaks out again, that stain would never wash off.
There’s the question of if the gear glass can also be militarised and used to create the advanced weapons and lethal bioweapons he’s so much against. The answer to that question is yes and no.
It’s yes in the sense that the government will definitely want a military version of it. But no, because Liam’s company will refuse to create that version for them.
They will naturally pressure the company if he refuses but he won’t cave no matter what. But Liam understands that even if he resists, they will still try to find a way around it.
This is the reason for Liam’s next plan: creating a quantum ecosystem. Since they are so stubborn and won’t listen, he will give them what they want in different form and in a way he can control the creation of things like that however he wants.
The idea for the quantum ecosystem is still fresh in his mind and he’s still refining it. It will probably take him the rest of the night to refine it completely.
Ahhh... I really don’t understand why things like weapons has to exist. Just unnecessarily complicating things for me. You fucking people, Liam sighed, making himself even more comfortable in his already ultra comfortable bed.
Sometimes he wondered if humanity would destroy itself even without him. Weapons always found a way to exist. Always. And yet here he was, forced to plan around their madness.
