Song Yan Ning and Qin Yushen heard about the map and once again slowed down their pace.
"Show me the map," Song Yan Ning reached out her hand. With the map, she would know exactly where they were.
Huo Lingling quickly took out the map and handed it to Song Yan Ning.
Song Yan Ning took the map and unfolded it; she immediately saw the four characters at the top of the map, Dongzhou Continent.
"Can you find Fushan Town on here?" Huo Lingling asked softly. She was worried that Song Yan Ning and Qin Yushen were as directionally challenged as she was and might not even understand the map.
Song Yan Ning nodded, "What do you need to do in Fushan Town?" From the map, it looked like Fushan Town was just a tiny place.
"Master said that the Beast Tide is about to start in Fushan Town, so he wants to take us there for training," Huo Lingling said excitedly. She was supposed to have set out with her master and seniors; after much cajoling, her master finally agreed to let her go on her own. But she had gotten lost not long after leaving the sect.
"Beast Tide?" Song Yan Ning was in need of fighting power. If she could collect more Demon Beasts, her chances of revenge would be greater.
Huo Lingling nodded, her face alight with excitement, "Fushan Town is near the Heavenly Barrier Forest. Every ten years, there is a massive Beast Tide there. Countless cultivators go there. This is my first time to Fushan Town. I've heard that the hides and bones of those beasts can be made into Magic Artifacts. This time, I must collect a lot."
Song Yan Ning looked toward the distance, "Come out." Someone had been following them on their journey, and by the looks of it, they were from the same sect as Huo Lingling.
As Huo Lingling chattered nonstop, she paused slightly when she heard Song Yan Ning, quickly turned her head, and saw a fairy-like scholar emerge, "Brother Liu?"
Liu Xufei smiled slightly and moved to Huo Lingling's side, "Master is worried about you, so he ordered me to follow you." He was somewhat speechless with Sister Ling'er—it wasn't long after she had left the sect that she lost her way. If it wasn't for him secretly guiding her a few times, she would probably still be wandering near the sect.
Huo Lingling pouted, "How could Master do this? He clearly agreed to let me go alone." She knew her master was worried about her, but she felt somewhat sad. By doing this, her master clearly didn't trust her.
"If you were on your own, you'd probably still be wandering near the sect by now," Liu Xufei said as he tapped Huo Lingling's head, then looked toward Song Yan Ning and Qin Yushen.
"My name is Liu Xufei, may I inquire about the names of both of you kind cultivators?" He hadn't felt any malice from Song Yan Ning and Qin Yushen toward Sister Ling'er, so he had not revealed himself. Unexpectedly, they had noticed him, which meant their strength must be considerable, certainly above his.
"Song Yan Ning!" Qin Yushen and Song Yan Ning introduced themselves respectively. They had a good first impression of Liu Xufei.
Liu Xufei smiled and gave them a respectful greeting, "Senior Brother Qin! Senior Sister Song! Are you also planning to go to Fushan Town?"
"Mhm." Song Yan Ning and Qin Yushen nodded.
"Then shall we set out?" Huo Lingling couldn't wait any longer; she wished she could arrive at Fushan Town immediately. She had promised her master she would reach Fushan Town before them.
"Brother Liu, has Master set out yet?" Huo Lingling turned her head to look at Liu Xufei.
"They left early; by the time you get to Fushan Town, the cauliflower will be cold," Liu Xufei teased.
"Hmph!" Huo Lingling huffed indignantly and turned her head, speeding up her flying sword. She decided to ignore Brother Liu; he always teased her, and she needed to maintain her dignity.
