The old man nodded, "Let's go in and take a look." If there's no one inside, the Array should have shown no disturbances.
The middle-aged man in grey nodded and followed the old man. The other was the Mine Owner, and he had to follow orders.
They didn't walk for long before they saw a young man in a blue shirt coming out, looking downcast and obviously having had poor luck.
The old man glanced at the basket on the blue-shirted man's back, seeing only two Black Thought Stones inside, then scanned the man himself and noticed no fluctuations of Spiritual Power on him.
"How did you get inside?" The middle-aged man in grey was surprised to see the man in the blue shirt. He had checked earlier, and there had clearly been no one.
"I saw that there were many people outside, so I went in to look around. But I only managed to dig up these two Black Thought Stones after two days," the man in the blue shirt said meekly.
"Go on, out with you." The middle-aged man in grey waved the man in the blue shirt away.
The man in the blue shirt hurriedly bowed his head and walked off, but had only taken two steps when a chilling assault came from behind.
Qin Yushen knew that the other wanted to test him; regardless of whether he dodged or not, he would give himself away, so he quickly flashed aside, avoiding the attack, and hurried his pace to rush outside.
"As I thought." The old man snorted coldly, pursuing Qin Yushen. His strike was not an ordinary probe; if the other could not have dodged, he would have been gravely wounded if not killed.
The middle-aged man in grey reacted and quickly gave chase as well.
Qin Yushen was naturally too fast for the old man to catch up. The old man came out of the mine only to find he had already lost track of Qin Yushen. He released his Divine Sense but still could not detect Qin Yushen.
The old man bit his teeth in anger, but was helpless.
He turned and went back into the mine; he wanted to see if that young man had taken anything when he was inside.
Seeing the spot where Qin Yushen and others had been digging Black Thought Stones, the old man glanced over, his face turning even darker. From the marks on the mine wall, it was evident that people had been digging, and the scale was not small.
Crouching down, he picked up a piece of Black Thought Stone from the ground, his face as black as the bottom of a pot.
"Mine Owner..." The middle-aged man in grey also noticed something amiss, calling out shakily.
"Weren't you saying there was no one before? How did that person get in?" the old man shouted with a dark face. He didn't know how many Black Thought Stones Qin Yushen had taken, but he could be sure it definitely wasn't a small number. He had truly suffered a huge loss this time!
"I am aware of my mistake, please punish me, Mine Owner," the middle-aged man in grey quickly bowed in admission of his error. He clearly had checked this place before, and there had been no one here. But he knew that saying more now was useless; facts spoke louder than words.
The old man raised his hand and drew Qin Yushen's likeness in the air, "Issue the command, we must catch this person at any cost." His Black Thought Stones weren't so easily taken; whatever the other had taken, he intended to make him pay back many times over.
"Yes!" The middle-aged man in grey quickly responded with respect.
Qin Yushen stopped, by now having transformed into a man dressed in black with white hair.
Song Yan Ning came out from the Spiritual Realm, "We should find a place to stay for the night, and then head to the Array Formation Dao Sect in the morning."
"Mm," Qin Yushen nodded, and he and Song Yan Ning entered an inn they found on the street at random.
"Shopkeeper, we would like a room," Song Yan Ning approached the counter and said to the Shopkeeper inside.
The Shopkeeper looked up, carefully scrutinized Qin Yushen and Song Yan Ning, then took out three portraits and compared them, "I'm sorry, but we need to check against these three bounties before we can arrange for guests to stay."
