"What does that mean?" Elio frowned, staring at Fiona with squinted eyes.
"You are focusing on the wrong aspect. To make your Blood Energy move to your will, you are focusing on the movement rather than the energy itself. Don’t think of it as merely an energy to control, Elio. Your energy has a special consciousness of its own, and it’s your partner in everything. It heals you, strengthens you, is your sword and shield, and gives you every chance to fight and survive. Don’t you think it deserves to be treated as that? A partner?" Fiona asked with a calm tone.
Her words hit Elio as his eyes widened. Slowly, he looked down at his body. ’Partner? That... That makes sense. How did I not think of this?’ He mused.
This entire time, Elio thought of his energy as merely fuel. Fuel that would be used as a tool to make himself stronger in every aspect. He never looked at Blood Energy like a true part of him and his very weapon against everything.
"I see..." He muttered. ’To treat it like my partner.’
Somehow, Elio understood that without asking. He just felt something that he couldn’t describe. Sucking a deep breath, he closed his eyes again, and this time, he changed his approach completely.
Instead of intensely focusing on moving it, Elio decided to simply find that connection between him and his energy. His instincts told him that this was what he needed. A connection that makes his energy move as he wishes, a mutual trust of sorts.
He felt the Blood Energy coursing through his body. The enormous power in each blood cell, and the sheer depth of it all, he didn’t have the opportunity to appreciate that. It was like a whole new world inside of him, and he never got to really admire it.
He sat there for a while, watching this magnificent and mysterious power move around, gradually and slowly changing him. Even when he was completely oblivious, this energy was slowly turning him into a better person in every way. It was doing so much work while he was completely focused on everything else, and it will keep doing that for as long as he lives.
’I’m sorry, I didn’t get to really appreciate everything you’re doing. You have completely changed me without ever asking for anything in return.’ He thought to himself. Even though he knew he wasn’t talking to anything actually conscious, he still found himself doing it still.
’I’m really in need of the power you give me. This energy will grant me a whole new life. I want to try it, and do my best, and I can’t do it without you. I need you.’
His hand started stretching forward instinctively without him realizing. Meanwhile, Fiona watched intently, her eyes focused on Elio.
Then, she started noticing changes. Elio’s energy, which was moving around idly, suddenly started accelerating.
"No way." She muttered as her eyes widened. She couldn’t believe what she was witnessing.
The energy started moving around faster and faster. All the hurdles and flaws started dispersing, and a thick, red aura appeared around Elio. It kept growing, engulfing the entire facility in its strong presence.
His energy was incredibly rich, to the point where it almost could be felt against the skin. The pressure it exerted was equally strong and suffocating, like a snake coiling around the target. Fiona had to instinctively put a layer of energy to protect herself from this strong aura.
It was all coming from someone who just awakened a few days ago.
’His energy is activating... On his first attempt...’ Fiona gasped, just completely shocked beyond words. This was perhaps the very first time in history that something like this was witnessed and recorded.
A beginner, learning how to control their Blood Energy on the very first attempt with minimal guidance. Fiona was ready to explain and demonstrate countless times for him to understand, as that was to be expected. This wasn’t some sort of factual science where doing certain steps will give you results, this was purely by feeling.
Someone has to be compatible with their energy and understand their energy to activate it. The more compatibility they have, the faster it happens. Elio, on the other hand, didn’t just have compatibility... He was one with his own energy.
Fiona saw it with her own eyes. How his body started blending with the red aura as if it belonged to it.
’Would you grant me everything? Let us do it together.’ Slowly, Elio’s hand started closing. He could feel something happening, but he didn’t know what it was exactly.
His energy was heeding his call, and it started moving, almost as if it was very excited that it was happening.
Outside, the aura simply kept growing, like an eternal tree, spreading everywhere. Fiona stood in the middle of it all, surrounded by the red color.
"Elio..."
The moment the boy’s fist clenched, the aura was suddenly sucked back to his body rapidly. Then, in a split second, it condensed around his fist, turning it into a ball of complete red. Then, that energy dispersed again, moving down to his feet, then to the rest of his body.
The speed at which it moved was at least double what he had before. It also looked way less flawed and far more refined.
After moving it around for a bit, Elio finally started circulating it around his body normally. The energy moved around, reaching every single part of him, and the strengthening process increased.
[Blood Cultivation detected.]
[Improvement rate has doubled.]
The notification rang in his head, telling him that he was doing well. Instead of stopping, however, he kept going, not caring about anything else. Each time his blood made a full rotation, the speed increased subtly, and the refinement process improved.
It was as if Elio were a sponge absorbing all that knowledge by sheer instinct and fixing every problem he noticed.
It felt like an endless loop, circulate, improve, fix, and do it all over again. Elio found himself in a different realm of his own, doing everything at his own pace, learning, and figuring everything out by instinct.
’He’s still improving!’ Fiona muttered, still in complete disbelief. ’He was able to learn how to circulate his energy and then completely revamp it and figure out what to fix on his own. What... What is this?’

With each second passing, the aura was getting stronger and more aggressive. At some point, it even started attacking Fiona, like a demonic entity trying to break through her defenses and consume her.
Such a malicious aura filled her with dread. She stood there, fortifying her defenses while watching Elio with horror in her eyes.
The situation continued for several minutes, and at some point, Fiona could barely bear it anymore as she finally called for Elio.
"Elio! That’s enough." She said.
However, the boy didn’t hear her.
"Elio!"
No response.
’He’s completely detached from reality.’ She clenched her teeth as she thought of a way to make him snap out of it. So, she started walking toward him, ignoring the red aura that kept attacking her relentlessly. She reached the boy and finally shook him.
"Elio! Wake up. You have done enough."
"H-Huh?"
