Qian Xiaoli clenched her fists. For a moment, she nearly made the reckless choice to surrender, but Feng Fan grasped her hand firmly.

His words jolted her back to reality. He was right. As long as she remained here, her mother's life would be safe—for now. But if Qian Niu got what he wanted, there would be nothing stopping him from killing her.
She took a deep breath, her expression hardening as she met his gaze. "Qian Niu, from this day forward, I am no longer your daughter. My name is no longer Qian Xiaoli—I am Su Xiaoli!"
Feng Fan gave a firm nod, approving her decision.
Qian Niu scoffed, dismissing her declaration with a look of disdain. Without another word, he turned and flew away, just like the others.
Elder Jiang stepped closer to Feng Fan, his face dark with anger. "Brat, why did you have to make things worse?!"
Feng Fan sighed. "Elder Jiang, no matter what you said, they were never going to back down. Since we're already enemies, the least we can do is not show weakness."
"Oh? So I assume you have an incredible plan to get out of this alive?" Elder Jiang asked with a mocking smile.
Feng Fan cleared his throat awkwardly. "Elder Jiang, you must be joking. I'm just a lowly Golden Core Formation cultivator. But surely the esteemed elders of the White Crow Sect have already prepared for this, haven't they?"
He wasn't just asking for the sake of it. He had already read Yin Jian's mind and knew there was a plan.
Since their enemies specifically targeted Huang Xue, Feng Fan, Su Xiaoli, and Xue Qiang, Yin Jian intended to send them to the Dao Seeking School. As highly talented cultivators, they would likely find protection there.
