My Wife Is A Miracle Doctor In The 80s Chapter 398

Chapter 398: Chapter 391: My Younger Brother is only Three Years Old

So, whether it’s good or bad, it has nothing to do with him.

When the first layer of gauze was removed, followed by the second one, and when finally all of the bandages had been taken off, gasps filled the room. This was because Mr. Huang Ao’s legs were much better than they expected. They’d imagined a merely patched-up pair of legs, but the reality was far from that. While the skin and flesh had been sewn together, they’d already healed. Even the missing skin and flesh seemed to have grown back, fully enveloping the bones of his legs. Despite the fact that the legs were still marred with numerous wounds, they were much better than the spectators had imagined. It was clearly visible that Mr. Huang Ao’s leg skin was normal in color, with clearly visible veins. Even his toes were full of color, as if skin grafts were no longer needed.

So, just as Tang Yuxin said, these legs were alive. Yes, they were alive. As long as they were alive, they could connect with their owner’s life, and they would continue to live.

Mr. Huang Ao still felt pain. After all, his skin was damaged, and his bones were broken. However, as long as there was a chance for recovery, there is hope and strength.

Tang Yuxin took a small basin filled with a black ointment and spread it on Mr. Huang Ao’s legs. After she finished, she fastened a wooden splint on it. His legs, still fractured, were slowly healing on the surface, but it would take several months for the bones to fully heal.

“What is that?” a orthopedic doctor hurriedly asked, “Why is it black? ”

“Oh, this…” Tang Yuxin washed her hands under the faucet, “It’s Black Jade Healing Ointment.”

A laugh broke out, although it was unclear who made the sound.

Black Jade Healing Ointment, indeed. Is it just because it is black?

Sensing their amusement, Tang Yuxin also chuckled, but she didn’t understand the joke. After all, the medicine was truly named Black Jade Healing Ointment, deriving not from a novel but from the ancient Chen Family’s traditional treatment. She didn’t mention that she had never used it on humans before, only on rabbits. Once, she used it to heal a rabbit’s broken leg. Above all, it could accelerate the growth of skin and flesh and relieve pain and inflammation, although it certainly couldn’t reconnect broken bones as stated in novels.

After all, novels were products of wild imagination far from reality.

There are no miraculous medicines in reality. Perhaps there will be in the future as science and medicine continue to progress, but humans can only live in the present.

This Black Jade Healing Ointment must be applied by Tang Yuxin once every three days. Each time after the application, the newly grown flesh looked better than the last. Once, the flesh on Mr. Huang Ao’s leg had looked like it had been chewed by a dog. But now, with each treatment, his leg healed a little more, the scar from the stitches were fading, and the color of his legs had almost returned to normal.

Mr. Huang Ao could now sit in his wheelchair and bask in the sun.

“Xiaotang, you saved my life this time.”

“It’s your legs,” Tang Yuxin corrected Mr. Huang Ao. His life was saved by the efforts of the doctors in the hospital. They worked tirelessly to keep him alive.

So, she felt somewhat uneasy receiving credit for his survival.

She had merely saved his pair of legs, which were nearly amputated.

“Ah right, it’s my legs,” Mr. Huang Ao laughed heartily, looking very cheerful, which would further help the wounds on his legs. Within a few days, he believed he would be able to return to the military. As for his future recovery, he’d take his time.

“Xiaotang, you saved my legs. I owe you a favor. If there’s anything I can help you with in the future, just let me know.”

Mr. Huang Ao was sincere in this offer. Not only did Tang Yuxin save him, but she also saved his whole family. Traditionally, such great deeds were met with silent gratitude. Saving lives was a doctor’s duty after all. But Tang Yuxin was still a student, not quite a doctor yet. Despite being a mere archaeologist, Mr. Huang Ao still retained some level of prestige.

“Could you pull some strings for me then?” Tang Yuxin’s words held a mix of seriousness and teasing.

“Sure,” Mr. Huang Ao laughed again. “What kind of favor do you need?”

Pushing Mr. Huang Ao’s wheelchair around the hospital campus, Tang Yuxin relished his first sunbath in a long time. He missed the sun, and almost felt like he was going to get moldy indoors.

“Sir, could you watch over my younger brother if he wants to study in Beijing in the future?”

Tang Yuxin knew her younger brother would come to Beijing someday. But gaining admission to a good school seemed daunting. She had heard that Mr. Huang Ao’s family held significant influence. He could surely secure a spot for Chengcheng in a top school.

Of course, the schools in Beijing were renowned institutions. Unfortunately, her brother didn’t seem to be particularly smart.

“Okay,” Mr. Huang Ao agreed without hesitation. “Just let him come find me. Once he gets here, he can drop my name. I’ll personally help him get into the best school. By the way, how old is your brother? Should he be applying for universities?”

Considering the age difference between the two siblings, if it was less than two years, the younger one should be applying for universities. If the difference is about five years, he should soon be preparing for the university entrance exams. Mr. Huang Ao could help with his high school admission first; university and even future employment could be sorted out later, provided that his grades weren’t too bad.

“Sir, it’s not urgent,” Tang Yuxin sighed, it really wasn’t urgent.

“We can’t afford to delay,” Mr. Huang Ao insisted. “School vacancies are limited. We need to secure a spot early.”

“Sir, my brother is only three years old,” Tang Yuxin said as she gazed at the distant sky. Through her pupils, the blue sky and white clouds were reflected. She wondered if Chengcheng had made himself muddy again.

Mr. Huang Ao was almost startled by Tang Yuxin.

A three-year-old brother, was he actually her sibling?

“Sir, I know what you’re thinking,” Tang Yuxin stopped pushing his wheelchair and pouted. “You’re wondering if he’s really my sibling. I assure you, he’s my biological brother. My stepmother gave birth to him when I was in high school. Also…” Tang Yuxin began to speak again, attempting to keep Mr. Huang Ao from making more wild speculations.
