My Wife Is A Miracle Doctor In The 80s Chapter 499

Chapter 499: Chapter 493 Keep Trying Chapter 499: Chapter 493 Keep Trying Being busy allowed her to forget many things.

In fact, she hadn’t expected that she herself would be able to do all this; constantly on the move, rushing from one patient to another.

However, in reality, she proved she could do it.

What others could do, she could do too.

In fact, she had become a competent nurse.

Of course, all the knowledge she had learned in school was put to use, making her years spent in university worthwhile.

“Yuxin, don’t worry,” Lin Yile said as she raised a spoonful of noodles to her mouth.

“I know my role now.

I am a nurse, a health care worker.

I would never joke about someone else’s life.

You can trust me on that.

I remember all the professional knowledge I’ve learned in school very clearly and avoid making mistakes.”

“As long as you’re aware of that,” Tang Yuxin responded while eating her own bowl of noodles.

She had initially been worried that Lin Yile might drop the ball, but it seemed from the looks of it, Lin Yile was more understanding than she gave her credit for.

After all, she was in her twenties now.

It wasn’t possible for her not to understand how things worked.

Moreover, she was no longer just a young maiden in her twenties, she was a mother.

She had a three-month-old daughter from whom she had been forced to part with.

The only reason was, she wanted to see her daughter again.

She yearned for it, even if her daughter might not recognize her as her mother in the future.

“Then, Yuxin…” Lin Yile began, cautiously broaching the subject.

“You won’t let my father send Qiqi away, right?

You must help me.” She put down her chopsticks and tightly gripped Tang Yuxin’s sleeve.

“Yuxin, please, I beg you, don’t tell my father to send Qiqi away.

She’s such a good girl.

I will also try hard, I will be a good nurse.

I don’t need her to call me mom in the future.

I just want to be able to see her.”

Tang Yuxin’s gaze shifted to Lin Yile’s tightly clenched fingers, seemingly pressing into her own palm.

She gently pushed Lin Yile’s hand away and continued to eat her own noodles.

With each bite, not only was her stomach warmed but also her soul, which had felt empty for quite some time.

This was the essence of motherhood, something she had never experienced before, neither from others nor from herself.

Lin Yile withdrew her hand, struggling to express her sense of loss and bitterness.

“Just do your best,” Tang Yuxin suddenly said, as Lin Yile was about to be drowned in negative emotions.

“If you want Qiqi back, if you want her to call you ‘mom’, then fight for your own future.

Only when you’re capable and strong enough to stand on your own, can you keep your daughter by your side.”

Lin Yile was stunned for a moment, then a tear drop rolled off the corner of her eye.

She picked up her bowl of noodles and brought it to her mouth, sipping the soup one spoonful at a time.

Finally, she understood what she had to do.

She transitioned from initial confusion to now, finally solidifying a belief — to work hard and become the best nurse.

When she eventually is able to support herself without relying on anyone else and can provide for her daughter, she’s confident she’ll be able to bring her home.

Her Qiqi was only three months old now.

She had a few years to make it happen, a few years to fight for her future before her daughter completely forgets about her.

From that day forward, Lin Yile began to change little by little, transformed from the naïve princess she once was into someone sensible, responsible and burdened with her own duties.

Tang Yuxin walked out from the balcony, phone in hand.

“Chengcheng how much did you score in your test?” She questioned her younger brother.

“If you didn’t do well, just wait till your sister comes home.

I’ll teach you a lesson.”

“Sister, I’ve stored lots of snacks for you.

Little sister is too young to eat them.

Once she grows up, it’ll all be hers and there won’t be any left for you.

I’ll keep all of it for her,” Chengcheng spun his eyeballs, managing to dodge the issue surprisingly.

“I don’t want any snacks,” Tang Yuxin narrowed her eyes.

If Chengcheng could see her now, he would certainly burst into tears.

Both his sisters were strict disciplinarians.

If he didn’t perform well, he’d face punishment.

As the only boy in the house, he couldn’t understand why he was always the one to be disciplined.

“Then what do you want, sister?” Chengcheng propped his bottom up, laid on the floor, and began rummaging through his stash of goodies.

As long as it spared him from suffering punishment, his sister could have anything she asked for.

Indeed, anything to avoid a beating.

“I don’t want anything.

But if you don’t perform well in your exams, I’m definitely going to punish you when I get back.”

Chengcheng slumped to the ground dejected, feeling utterly helpless and pitiful.

“Where is little sister?” Tang Yuxin asked Chengcheng again.

“Little sister,” Chengcheng quickly scrambled up and ran into the room where he discovered his baby sister happily drinking from her bottle.

“Let little sister speak,” Tang Yuxin walked over to Lin Yile and handed her the phone.

Lin Yile puzzledly held the phone and put it to her ear.

She heard Chengcheng’s voice on the other end of the line.

“Come on, sister, my sister wants to talk to you.

If you talk nicely, maybe when sister comes back, she won’t hit me.

You really don’t know how painful it is when my sister hits…”

Little Wanqi: “….”

Little Wanqi was busy playing with her little foot, but kept mumbling her baby coos into the phone.

The moment Lin Yile heard her daughter’s innocent voice, she covered her face and broke into uncontrollable sobs.

People who haven’t become mothers will never understand the pain of parting with their infant child after carrying them for ten months.

She wanted to see her daughter, wanted her to have even a sip of her breast milk, wanted to hear her call her ‘mom’.

But now, she couldn’t do anything for her, not even see her once.

“Sister… sister…” Chengcheng called out to the phone loudly, but there was no response from the other end.

“Sis…”

He tried calling out again.

“Hmm,” Tang Yuxin’s soft grunt made ChengCheng’s hair stand on end.

The thing he feared the most was her saying ‘hmm’.

It was terrifying.

“Sister, I will study hard and become an outstanding student,” ChengCheng pulled at his own clothes pitifully, struggling to understand why his baby sister could eat and sleep all day and still be the favourite of the family.

While he had to eat, sleep, go to school, practice handwriting and even face punishment from his sister.
