My Wife Is A Miracle Doctor In The 80s Chapter 530

Chapter 530: Chapter 524 Became a Hero Chapter 530: Chapter 524 Became a Hero Tang Yuxin pulled her coat tighter around herself.

She initially wanted to return it to Gu Ning but in the end decided not to say anything.

“Yuxin,” Li Jia ran over and hugged Tang Yuxin, bursting into tears.

She had held it in for the past few days and now that they could finally go home, it was about time she too allowed herself to cry.

“Look, we can go home now, we really can go home,” she said, her voice choked with emotion.

The fear they had lived in these past days, the fear of the injured getting worse, her own fear of dying, even the inability to sleep well, no one who hasn’t experienced it would ever understand.

The place was desolate, with no path under the heavens, and no door in the earth.

For a while, she had felt as though they were waiting to die.

But now, finally, they could go home; they didn’t have to die.

Not just Li Jia, but also the men among them were teary-eyed.

Life is precious after all, especially for their colleagues, their classmates, and their families.

Their brothers were still here, and they were alive and well.

That was a good thing.

Tang Yuxin pulled her military coat tighter around herself and followed the others toward home.

On the snow-covered ground, their footsteps formed a long trail, representing their lives.

It wasn’t until later that Tang Yuxin learned that the weather had been unusually snow-free for the past couple of days, and the ice wall they had originally crossed had collapsed at one point, creating a path to where they were now.

Thank goodness they hadn’t wandered off too far, otherwise, it would have been difficult to find them in the white expanse.

Perhaps they were incredibly lucky, or perhaps it was just not their time to die yet.

The people who came looking for them found them without much effort, largely thanks to the tent they had set up, which served as a beacon guiding them to the living.

Many were holding their heads and sobbing.

Light snowflakes were falling from the sky, some landing on their necks, providing a cooling sensation.

From far away, the bare branches sparkled like colorless crystals, transparent and cold.

They walked for what felt like an eternity and Tang Yuxin even began to worry that they might get trapped in the snow again.

If that had been the case, their deaths were certainly a sure thing.

She walked on, albeit with a heavy heart, but didn’t feel as cold as before.

Wearing two padded coats, one of which was dragged on the ground, she wasn’t sure she looked aesthetically pleasing but she didn’t care.

All she knew was that she felt warm, and that was good enough.

When they saw buildings covered in snow not too far away, Tang Yuxin finally let out a sigh of relief.

Even if they got stuck here, they would be just fine.

At the very least, they could find shelter and stay for a while.

She could see smoke rising from chimneys which signaled an inhabited house.

The village was small and while there weren’t many villagers, they seemed rather self-sufficient.

Presumably, the trap she fell into earlier hadn’t been set by them.

Nonetheless, they didn’t stop and continued walking.

After about half an hour, she saw a large group of people and several large trucks.

Finally, the heart that Tang Yuxin held in her throat returned to its place.

The next steps were handled smoothly.

Gu Ning would report to their superiors, and the three women were to return to the hospital.

Tang Yuxin realized that the doctors who had come with them had all gone back.

After all, they had been missing for nearly ten days.

During this time, many had given up hope.

The disappearance of five and later three military medical personnel was a serious incident.

Especially Tang Yuxin, who was the most promising and highly regarded doctor in the hospital.

If she had just vanished without a trace, what a pity it would have been, not to mention that two other young medical staff were also missing.

The hospital’s director, Zhu, was practically there every day, yelling at the rescue staff.

He was driven to madness and no matter how heavy the snowfall, he would drive over.

At first, it was to wait for news, but then he would just berate the rescue staff.

He had labored tirelessly to recruit this talent, wrestling her away from others.

Now all the hard work was lost.

It was enough to make him ill.

If Tang Yuxin knew that she was considered just a piece of meat in Director Zhu’s eyes, she might be crying right now.

But all was finally well.

Despite the scare, no lives were lost.

Otherwise, they might never pay off the debt.

Tang Yuxin and the injured were taken to the hospital.

The condition of the two injured patients was stable.

The patient with the broken bones was very clear-headed, had cried, laughed, and was now calm.

As for the one with the severe stomach injury, all his vitals were normal.

Having survived the critical period, he looked much better.

His wound was healing well and there was no inflammation or infection, so they were only waiting for it to heal completely.

This time, Liu Guang owed his life to Tang Yuxin.

If she hadn’t taken Li Jia and the rest with her, Liu Guang might have already died.

Thankfully, his life was preserved and all his organs intact.

As a young man, he had a strong physical constitution and great vitality.

Hopefully, his strong will to live would help him overcome this challenge quickly and return to the military unit they all loved so much.

The vehicle stopped at the hospital entrance.

After the injured were taken inside, it was their turn.

As soon as they stepped off, almost the entire hospital staff came out to greet them.

Such hospitality surprised all three women.

It was almost as if they were returning heroes being decorated with big red flowers.

Tang Yuxin ran her fingers through her hair, feeling a bit embarrassed.

Lin Yile was shy.

She had never seen such a grand reception and had to tug at Tang Yuxin’s sleeve.

As for Li Jia, she walked with her head held high and chest out, seeming to enjoy the hero’s welcome.
