Driven by Magic Power, the water converged and transformed rapidly into sharp blades that shot towards the hunters’ heads.
At that moment, the agility of the hunters that legends spoke of appeared right before Ronald’s eyes.
Although the water blades driven by the Spell moved at an extremely high speed, the three hunters within the range of the flashlight all dodged the Spell’s attack in an instant.
Seeing that the fight between the hunters and the mermaid had begun, Ronald naturally did not stand by idly. He immediately took out the "Astronomy Master," most suited for the situation at hand.
"Starting from the relationship between the entire earth and the sky, we will begin to construct our understanding..."
Almost simultaneously as the incantation ended, one of the three hunters suddenly lost control of its body. It couldn’t resist at all and was forcibly pulled in front of Ronald under the power of Star Traction.
Ronald timely stretched out his right hand and firmly grasped the hunter’s neck.
At this close distance, he could clearly see the fear and confusion in the creature’s eyes. However, after realizing its predicament, its overly large eyes filled entirely with ferocity.
Targeting Ronald, who clamped its neck, it thrust its sharp claws towards him.
The power of the "Guardian Angel" immediately took effect, a faint white light barrier completely blocked the hunter’s sharp claw, preventing it from advancing an inch.
But judging from the weakening of the white light,
Ronald also realized that this creature possessed extremely strong offensive power.
"Mermaid, be careful of their claws, they are dangerous!"
After warning the mermaid to be careful of the hunters’ claws, Ronald immediately exerted force in his hands.

Though breaking its neck still resulted in death obediently,
But Ronald, who could even twist steel hinges with his fingers, could only bend the hunter’s scales. The dark blue scales of this creature were harder than ordinary metals!
Meanwhile, hearing Ronald’s warning, the mermaid also changed her tactics. Abandoning the previous Spell that controlled the water flow into blades, she instead manipulated the seawater to form a rapidly spinning vortex around her body.
The hunters swimming towards the mermaid couldn’t dodge in time and were instantly sucked into it.
Soon, the whirlpool spun faster, and its water flow began to undergo some changes.
Within a couple of breaths, the water flow became a murky liquid entangling the hunters, not even leaving whole bodies.
The initial three enemies were dealt with swiftly by Ronald and the mermaid.
Even so, the tense expression on the mermaid’s face showed no signs of easing.
Maintaining the posture of her hand, she quickly turned around in the seawater, allowing the flashlight’s beam to sweep neatly around them.
The white light pierced a pitch-black deep sea.
It also enabled Ronald and her to clearly see their surrounding situation.
Almost from every direction, similarly fierce-looking hunters were swimming towards them, with no gaps visible at all.
During the brief exchange,
They had been surrounded by countless hunters!
"Mermaid, is this all you have in your ocean?" the mermaid addressed Ronald, who was behind her. Although they were surrounded by the hunters, Haerbes wasn’t completely hopeless despite the tension.
Thus Ronald responded:
"Before today, I had always thought the hunters were merely a folk legend. I never imagined we’d encounter this situation."
Naturally, the situation now was somewhat different from before.
The hunters surrounding the two didn’t charge at them directly like the first three, but instead began to swim around them in the water, waiting for a chance to exploit any vulnerabilities.
The hunters weren’t mindless monsters, but a dangerous species with basic tactical abilities!
Meanwhile, Ronald and Haerbes weren’t idly exchanging words.
Dealing with a single hunter, they could handle easily, but the number of hunters was now overwhelming and injuries were possible in the rush.
And if struck by a hunter’s claws...
Relying solely on the quality of skin and muscle, Ronald certainly didn’t have the confidence to withstand it.
So, very tacitly, Ronald and Haerbes started to move closer in the water.
Until they were back to back, each guarding the other’s rear.
The mermaid then whispered to Ronald:
"Mermaid, I’m preparing a spell that can help us extricate ourselves; you can manage for two minutes, right?"
"Of course, leave that to me."
Ronald immediately nodded in response.
The suggestion by Haerbes was actually to his liking.
The appearance of Miss Mermaid was already very striking, and at the moment both the man and the mermaid were hiding something from each other; Ronald was all too happy to conceal some of his combat abilities.
With that, Ronald waved his hand, and the already prepared "Astronomy Master" was activated. The sea water around them began to flow rapidly, forming fierce currents that completely protected them inside.
Under Ronald’s control, the movement of the sea water was completely different from that controlled by Haerbes before. His spell did not reach the intensity to completely pulverize the hunters, but its extensive area could serve to scout and disrupt the movements of the enemy.
If any of the hunters broke through the current and charged in.
Ronald would simply need to launch targeted attacks then.
He also took this opportunity to keep an eye on Haerbes behind him. Unlike local Casters, Miss Mermaid prepared her spell with no visible incantation process; it seemed like driving Magic Power only required her own will.
That became a question.
Was it an innate racial ability for her species to cast spells?
Or was the magical system Haerbes using one that did not require verbal incantations to activate?
As Ronald analyzed the situation inwardly, the team of hunters outside seemed to sense the impending danger. One of the larger hunters made a strange noise from its mouth, to which the constantly swimming hunters around it immediately reacted.
From several different directions, a number of hunters charged toward Ronald and Haerbes at the same time.
The weaker ones, naturally disturbed by the turbulent flow, couldn’t get close to them. But some hunters, strong enough, broke through and swung their claws toward the two.
Seeing this, Ronald knew that his limited margin of safety was leaving him.
He snapped his fingers to reset the "Guardian Angel" defense.
Locking onto the positions of the surrounding hunters, he faced them head-on.
