Mystic Overlord: Reading Gives Strength Chapter 591

The person who emerged from the void was alone.

He wore the distinctive long robe of Barrier Mountain Academy.

Seeing this scene, Ronald realized that the situation was not looking good.

The newcomer was none other than Glenta, one of the three Council Wizards.

But the heretical Magician who had entered the magical barrier with him was now nowhere to be seen.

Moreover, taking a closer look at this hospital Wizard’s appearance.

Glenta’s signature Academy robe was marked with numerous pits and dents, clearly damage that had just been inflicted.

Thus, the worst possible speculation surfaced in Ronald’s mind.

Bapulor had been killed by this guy?

Ronald grimly arrived at this conclusion, but even quicker was Catherine, who stood beside him.

Almost the moment Glenta appeared before them,

the red-haired witch made her move.

One second, Catherine stood beside Ronald.

The next second, Catherine moved to face Glenta with a speed that was not Ronald’s own, pressing her right hand — glowing with a rainbow shimmer — against the forehead of the enemy before her.

A not-so-subtle collision echoed forth.

Glenta, who had just exited the magical barrier, had no chance to react, instantly seized by the face by Catherine and then brutally slammed to the ground.

The strike was so forceful that it even caused a spiderweb of cracks to form in the ground.

Ronald also noticed something—

Despite looking quite disheveled, Glenta had not sustained any serious injuries; the surface of his body was coated with a pale yellow translucent film. Although it began to collapse under Catherine’s decisive attack, it still helped Glenta withstand the physical impact.

At that moment, Glenta realized who his assailant was.

He glared at the red-haired woman before him with intense anger and immediately bellowed,

"Catherine, you dare betray us!"

"You know what Barrier Mountain..."

"I don’t intend to answer your questions," Catherine coldly interrupted Glenta, continuing to apply pressure with her hand. She tossed one last sentence at the Wizard before her, "If you have any questions, go ask Alston in Hell."

As her words hit the ground, the protective spell on Glenta’s body completely shattered under Catherine’s overwhelming pressure, and the Magic Power within him erupted chaotically.

But even now, Glenta would not be killed by Catherine with just a clash.

At this critical life-or-death moment,

Glenta activated the life-saving ace up his sleeve, his figure flickered, barely disappearing from the ground before his head could be crushed.

Afterward, the Council Wizard suddenly reappeared in the air.

It was only then that Glenta had the opportunity to survey the surroundings.

If Glenta remembered correctly, the Word Spell he had initiated was supposed to encompass both allies and enemies, a total of six people, within a multiplex barrier.

Beneath his feet, Ronald and Catherine stood unharmed, a man and a woman.

To a more distant location, there lingered a Magic Fluctuation of extreme strength, and there was also a figure breathing their last.

Two enemies in front of him, yet not a single comrade stood here.

Was today’s battle...

His gaze locked onto the figures of Ronald and Catherine on the ground...

Suddenly, Glenta found that only Ronald was left on the ground beneath him, and he was looking at himself with pity!

Glenta realized there was a problem and quickly looked up while preparing to cast a spell.

Unfortunately, as he saw a high-kicking leg whooshing toward him, the Magic Power that should have been mobilized instantly did not obey his will, showing no sign of driving the spell.

——His spells had been interfered with!

——What kind of cursed thing could disrupt the ancient spells he had set in advance?

Faster than Glenta could ponder was Catherine’s descending whip-kick from above.

The long, elegant thigh, wielding absolute lethal force, smashed right onto Glenta’s right shoulder. The poor Wizard couldn’t analyze the situation swiftly enough before he was harshly slammed back onto the ground from the air.

The tragic figure stirred up dust as it crashed to the ground.

Watching the scene unfold not far away, Ronald scratched his head and then walked toward the battlefield.

Catherine’s fighting style was as domineering as she was.

A simple and brute layer of Magic Power enveloped her skin as quick and fierce attacks relentlessly greeted the enemy. If there wasn’t strength of the same level, it was only expected to fall into a disadvantage immediately.

However, given Glenta’s status as a Wizard Council member,

Being beaten solely from a suppression of strength was somewhat surprising.

Ronald began to suspect that there was an unidentified spell in play that he hadn’t fully grasped yet.

Ronald didn’t take long to reach the center of the battle.

But in just these few seconds, Catherine had followed down from the air, pinning Glenta to the ground with a flurry of fierce punches.

By the time Ronald arrived at the scene...

The sight was utterly tragic.

The whip-kick that plummeted from the air had dislocated Glenta’s right shoulder from his torso, with only the flesh not yet torn asunder maintaining the general outline of his body.

And on the face of this Wizard, the necessary tool for casting incantations—the mouth—

Had already been knocked askew by one of Catherine’s punches.

With that mouth, casting spells was out of the question, even breathing seemed immensely difficult.

"Catherine, you... this..."

Ronald opened his mouth.

But apart from calling out his companion’s name, he didn’t know what else to say for the moment.

Ask about Bapulor’s situation?

Judging by Glenta’s current state, he didn’t seem to be in any shape to answer questions.

Not to mention, in Ronald’s perception, the Magic Fluctuations of the Wizard Councilor had already diminished to a critical state; it would be totally justified if his Enhancement Magic ceased in the next second and he immediately passed out.

However, hearing Ronald’s voice, Catherine finally stopped her brutal treatment of the enemy and straightened her hair, giving Ronald a bright smile:

"I don’t quite like enemies who can still move."

"Sorry you had to see that."

Ronald hurriedly shook his head:

"But with this guy’s current state, it seems we’re not really in a position to interrogate him now..."

Catherine laughed and waved her hand, signaling Ronald not to worry about it at all.

Then she grabbed the pitiful Glenta.

Catherine’s eyes fixed on him, and once again she recited her primeval incantation in front of Ronald.

This, too, was something countless people were familiar with—

"First, a robot may not injure a human being, or through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm;

Second, a robot must obey the orders given to it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law; Read complete version only at noᴠelfire.net

Third, a robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law."
