Half an hour later, the barrier trapping the Lando Manor ran out of energy and dissipated, and the manor returned to its initial peace.
Dragging his heavily wounded body, Austin immediately contacted the Magic Department and invited Deputy Minister Yvette to conduct an on-site investigation.
He didn’t trust the other Legendary Mages; Yvette was close to the Queen and wouldn’t spout nonsense in her report, nor would she take the opportunity to frame somebody to balance the accounts.
Austin was severely injured, coughing blood constantly, yet he still stood firm to greet Yvette and personally took her to inspect the crime scene, showing her the body of the mysterious person’s clone.
The Void Spawn was destroyed by the Dragon Knight, its body limited. Hefei reclaimed a portion, and Austin reclaimed two portions.
One portion was reclaimed by the Randao Family, and one he reclaimed for himself; the rest he handed over to Yvette, demonstrating the Tulip Family’s unwavering loyalty to the Royal Family.
After Yvette’s arrival, she first exchanged pleasantries with Hefei.
The empty formalities from officials, devoid of sincere content once you remove mutual business flatteries, left barely anything substantial.
Apart from being the lady of the Lando Family, Hefei was also the High Priest of the Naturalism Church, a position that offered another explanation for tonight’s attack.
It could be seen as an attack on the Lando Family, or an attack on the High Priest, depending on how Hefei wished to interpret it.
Consequently, Austin was given a task: to sacrifice for his country, appease the High Priest of the Naturalism Church, meet her every demand as much as possible, and not let the situation escalate.
Yvette: "Austin, you have the nation behind you; you have no way out!"
This moment was as critical as the one before.
It was always possible for Windsor not to act human.
As time meandered into the late night, Yvette left Lando Manor with the evidence, arranging to meet Austin at the Magical Department Headquarters the next morning for a private report to the Minister.

"What is the Protogenos Bloodline?"
"Damn it, I accidentally let it slip."
"Bastard, it’s definitely not that. If you don’t spill it today, don’t think about leaving."
Veronica, furious, punched Wayne in the face. Big trash had people to deal with its secrets; it wasn’t her concern. By the same token, she had to know the secrets of the little trash.

Wayne reasoned and convinced Veronica, who hung on his words in confusion, "I was incredibly lucky, avoided madness from mimicking the Ancient God and instead learned part of its noble visage. As he spoke, Wayne tilted up his nose.

Wayne, stabilizing her to prevent a fall, reassured her, "Congratulations, you picked up a treasure that night. The next generation of the Randao Family has superior qualities."
Veronica frowned, still unconvinced, "But you were chased by a monster while Megan killed it in one strike. How do you explain that?"
"I’m still a child..."
Wayne shrugged, a touch of frustration flashing in his eyes.
After the monster’s death, no core fell, which meant the The Book of Hell was nowhere to be found.
It was clear that the mysterious person had fled early, taking The Book of Hell with him.
This indicated that the mysterious person was probably not Megan’s match, and combined with the Knight Teacher, chose to retreat in knowledge of their inferiority.
Considering the mysterious person’s tactics of surrounding and dividing, deliberately excluding the Dragon Knight team from the group, it was evident that they had a deep understanding of the Randao Family and feared Austin’s trump card, preferring not to show themselves.
In other words, from the mysterious person’s perspective, Austin, who had always been under Megan’s protection, possessed a power even more terrifying than that of a Giant Dragon.
