Saina described the significance of the Great Prophet within The Church, the Great Prophet is the servant of the gods, one of the three Proxies, Skylark Milaer possesses the divine power to foresee the future, making the Great Prophet’s position pivotal.
Yet because the Great Prophet is merely a servant of the gods, their status can be high or low.
When needed, the all-knowing Great Prophet can guide the future of The Church; when not needed, the Great Prophet is just a senile old man muttering about the gods.
Though a servant of the gods is still a god and is worshipped by the believers, Saina didn’t want to speak too bluntly, to maintain the dignity of the lesser gods, hinting just enough for Wayne to get the message.
For the lower-ranking believers, becoming the Great Prophet, being able to contact the lesser gods, is akin to ascending to heaven in one step.
For the higher-ups, respecting the lesser gods is because of their devotion to the Goddess; the Goddess came first followed by the lesser gods, this is a matter of principle that cannot be taken lightly.
With Wayne’s talent, there’s no need to waste time on the lesser gods; he deserves a higher and better position.
