The blonde girl, dressed in ancient, decrepit knight’s armor and carrying a shining greatsword on her back, had the semblance of a Valkyrie at first glance, but her youthful demeanor lacked the subtle nobility of an elder knight sister, reminding Wayne of a captive knight princess after defeat.
The painting style of the battered and tarnished armor just happened to fit the bill.
Veronica closed her eyes to feel the power the armor brought, her body covered in a warm glow, a flame rising in her heart, the potent force inside her making her impatient to find an evil dragon to measure her strength against.
Too bad Veronica wasn’t there.
At that moment, a pair of delicate white arms embraced her from behind, fingers resting on the back of Veronica’s hand, she instinctively turned her head and saw Valkyrie’s stunningly gorgeous face, and couldn’t help but swallow softly.
