Wayne complained in his heart, finding Valkyrie too compassionate and not looking clearly at the situation; if he hadn’t had a few tricks up his sleeve, he would have become the creatures’ meal that day.

Since the Teacher had spoken, Wayne couldn’t ignore it for the sake of face. He dissipated a large amount of Fire Element, only leaving a handful in his grasp, pointing at the monster and demanded, "Your name, what are you, who is Torgoguryr?"

Nate narrated his story with a bitter smile. All intruders would turn into one of them; having entered not long ago, he could still maintain his sanity for now, but the feeling of hunger would occasionally drive him mad, and inevitably, he’d one day completely lose his senses and turn into a monster.

Wayne somewhat believed him and narrowed his eyes, "After all that, what exactly is Torgoguryr?"
"It is the Envoy of the God!" Nate proclaimed with reverence.
Nate pondered and then spread his tentacles helplessly, "We are the slaves operating on the outer edge, the lowest beings, unworthy of recognizing the greatness of Torgoguryr."
Wayne nodded and started a team voice chat to discuss further.
Ronica is a poor student who relied on Veronica to graduate; her horizons are limited. Valkyrie has severe memory loss, holding no right to speak. Wayne hypothesized throughout, and they just nodded along.
Looking at Nate’s style and considering that it didn’t match up with the five Great Goddesses, Hell, or Heaven, it seemed Torgoguryr was not part of the mainstream beliefs of the God-chosen Continent but rather seemed like an Evil God from the Void.
Like that one who lays Void Lord’s eggs.
Considering that there’s some connection between this place and the seal on the Icebound Continent, Torgoguryr’s power must be far greater than the Void Lord’s; faced with these two monsters, the Void Lord would only be slain instantly.
Wayne’s tone grew grave, "From what I understand about Void corruption, madness is inevitable. If Nate isn’t lying, for an ordinary person to not only retain his sanity for two years but also gain superpowers, the deity of Torgoguryr’s faith must be incredibly powerful."
Preparing for the worst, Torgoguryr could be a minion of an Ancient God, and its faith lies with the Ancient God.
Extrapolating further, the Icebound Continent might be sealing a minion of an Ancient God...
A minion of an Ancient God!
Sealing an Ancient God is one thing, but even if the three God-chosen Knights or the five Great Goddesses came together, they’d likely end up entangled in tentacles in a desperate struggle to survive.
"Of course, all of the above are my speculations. Torgoguryr could also just be a Void Wanderer who has regained its sanity and, having seen a broader universe, thus reveres the Void," Wayne shrugged, optimistically continuing.
"Whatever lies ahead, we must find the Sun Knight’s power," Valkyrie stated resolutely.
Wayne also nodded firmly, understanding that if just the tip of the iceberg of these mysteries was so terrifying, it meant that the seal on the Icebound Continent was extremely dangerous. He would do his utmost to help recover all of the Sun Knight’s power.
Austin was right, order was the most important thing. The world was already in chaos, it couldn’t get any more chaotic!
After a brief discussion, Wayne turned to Nate, "You said you are an outer slave, what about the inside? Are there more creatures like you?"
"The Golden City is filled with many of Torgoguryr’s children, all awaiting the grand awakening of our master. It will lead us out of here to the richer resources of the God-chosen Continent," Nate expressed with longing.
That’s probably not okay, you guys are too bizarre!
"About how many children?"
"Uncertain, the Golden City is vast, but there should be at least thirty or forty thousand," Nate replied.
"There are many who are more powerful than me. The leader, the Priest, holds the power of the sunlight; he is the God of the Golden City, and everyone follows his orders."

Wayne noticed the golden swinging ponytails flickering around as he grabbed them in his hand, and spoke into the team voice chat, "Don’t hurry, this one may not be your father-in-law. I’ll say something unpleasant; it’s better not to hold too much hope to avoid being thoroughly disappointed later."
Ronica’s hopes were high, and Wayne personally reined them in a bit.
The power of a knight can only be wielded by the knight himself or those allowed by the knight, with exceptions for cheating. If that Priest truly has the power of the Sun Knight, then the likelihood that he is Ronica’s father is very high.
It’s just that under the influence of Torgoguryr, he’s lost himself.
Wayne took a deep breath, considering it a piece of good news; at least Ronica’s father was still alive.
"After saying so much, I don’t recommend that you go to the Golden City, it’s too dangerous. Go back, you have no idea how envious I am of you," Nate muttered, looking at Wayne and Ronica, recalling his own human form.
"You can leave, the exit is right there."
"And then? Where should I go?"
Nate shook his head; in his current form, he’d be perceived as a monster wherever he went. He’d just given Ronica a scare, and rather than leaving his family with nightmares, he preferred to fade away and let time ease their sorrow.
Wayne arched an eyebrow, feeling a slight admiration for the creature. He circled around him, "I know of a surgery that can turn a creature fallen to the Void back to its original form. Lead us to the Golden City, and I’ll give you a chance to start over."
