Dreyne was silent for a moment, then turned and headed towards the direction of the dark abyss, "I’ll trust you once more, be quick about it. If Wayne can hold on long enough, we might be able to make it back at the last moment."

With no light, no sound, in this darkness, only the terrifying energy surged continuously, at times sweeping like a wild wind, at times entangling like tentacles, merging into the tri-colored aurora, together resisting the tremendous force imposed by the merging of spaces.
Austin’s body trembled, enduring pain like never before.
The darkness ravaged his body, twisted his will, and the pain further intensified his desires, making him extraordinarily irritable.
The soul-rending agony grew unbearable for Austin.
Compared to the despair that would come with the successful fusion of spaces, these pains were tolerable. His wife and daughter were in the camp, he would willingly endure ten times, dozens of times more pain.
The excruciating pain was like a steel knife slicing through Austin’s nerves, he stood numbly, losing control over his limbs, feeling nothing but the sensation of pain.

Austin’s gaze lowered, seeing Megan’s face twisted in pain, through which he glimpsed a shadow of Hefei.

Wayne switched between three types of Magic Power in succession, unable to contact any of the God-chosen Knights; he couldn’t sense their existence as if they were not in this world.
"Mister Wayne, have you found them?" Anastasia asked hastily.
"No, I can’t see them."
Wayne looked up to the sky where darkness merged with the tri-colored aurora; while it didn’t completely refuse the return of space, it indeed had a remarkable effect in delaying the fusion of spaces.
Inspired by this, Wayne roughly knew what to do.
Seeing Wayne’s calm demeanor, Anastasia was frantic, "Mister Wayne, it’s not the time for sacrifices yet, please don’t do anything unnecessary."
"No, you’ve misunderstood, and so has everyone else. I am very afraid of dying, and I would definitely be the first to flee at the face of danger."
Wayne withdrew his fingers, inserting a single hand into the void, and raised an eyebrow at Anastasia, "I can’t see the three Knights, likewise, they can’t see me, which is actually a good thing."
Anastasia’s body froze as she sensed an overwhelming surge of Death Essence rushing toward her.
