The night passed quickly.
The next morning, Uzumaki Hiroshi woke up early. His aunt and uncle were still asleep.
"If Aunt Kushina weren’t pregnant, things would be different. They’re still asleep so late. They must have... done something last night. I’m a twenty-something in my mind, after all!" Uzumaki Hiroshi thought, looking at their closed door.
"I have nothing to do. I might as well make breakfast. They can eat when they wake up, and then we can go to the hospital," he thought.
Uzumaki Hiroshi was a man of action. He went straight to the kitchen, looked at the remaining ingredients, and started cooking.
He’d lived alone, so cooking was easy for him.
The sounds of knife against cutting board filled the kitchen.
The Konoha morning was beautiful. Birds chirped, sunlight bathed the village, and a quiet peace settled over everything.
Few people were awake at this hour, mostly elderly people, used to waking up early to stroll and buy breakfast.
Time passed, and soon Uzumaki Hiroshi had prepared breakfast: simple rice porridge and some side dishes.
His cooking was quite good. The fragrant food sat on the kitchen table as he sat on the sofa.
"Right, I know what I’ll do after the hospital. I haven’t seen Harumiko in days. I wonder what she’s been up to. I’ll go see her later. I’ve missed her," Uzumaki Hiroshi whispered, smiling.
Harumiko was Uzumaki Hiroshi’s childhood friend in Konoha. She had always been kind to him, comforting him whenever he was bullied and never shunning him because of his weakness.
