Naruto: Dual-Pupil Uchiha Chapter 374

"Scroll of Seals, I’m coming!"

Uzumaki Naruto glanced around to make sure no one was nearby. Only then did he quietly leave his home and head toward the center of Konoha.

He was determined to get it!

He had even planned ahead while eating instant noodles tonight — after stealing the Scroll of Seals, he couldn’t stay in Konoha. He had to leave.

Once he learned the ninjutsu inside, he would come back!

By then, he would be very strong, so strong that even the Third Hokage couldn’t scold him or change his fate.

Those people wouldn’t be able to stop him from getting close anymore!

"What’s going on? What does Uzumaki Naruto want to do?" Two Anbu ninja watching Naruto were shocked. They never expected Naruto to be acting late at night.

"I don’t know, but judging by his look, it doesn’t seem like he’s up to anything good!" One of them said, a mix of shock and helplessness in his voice. "Damn it, why can’t he just stay calm for once? It’s really frustrating!"

"Hmph, maybe this time he’s planning to do something bad at the Hokage Rock again!" The other Anbu spoke calmly but with clear disdain.

They had been watching Naruto for days. This guy had done all sorts of bad things just to get attention. He was really a pain.

A few days ago, he even smeared paint on the Hokage Rock! Original content can be found at novelꞁire.net

If it weren’t for the mercy of the Third Hokage, he would have been punished long ago. Yet this kid still didn’t know how to be grateful and kept causing trouble!

"Hmph, as a Jinchuriki, he should act like one!" The Anbu sighed in frustration. "Naruto is way too mischievous. I heard the Jinchuriki from Sunagakure is almost fully controlling his power now, but Naruto is still nothing!"

Watching Naruto for so long, the two Anbu were growing more annoyed by him.

Besides having some talent, Naruto was nothing but a troublemaker trying to get attention. His control over the Tailed Beast was almost non-existent. It was really embarrassing!

"Shh—do you want to get yourself killed? This is the Third Hokage’s decision. We shouldn’t get involved!"

An ANBU ninja stopped another teammate’s complaint and whispered, "Our mission now is to watch Uzumaki Naruto. He’s moving away. Follow him!"

Another nodded and started to follow.

So, the two of them kept tailing Naruto. But when they saw Naruto sneaking and stopping carefully in front of the central wooden tower, cautiously watching the surroundings—

"What is he trying to do?" someone asked.

"I’m not sure, but I know this place. It’s where Konoha stores its valuable items. Naruto wouldn’t be here to steal something, right?"

One ANBU ninja spoke anxiously, his tone full of disgust. "A thief like him is shameful and brings disgrace to Konoha!"

"Let’s not jump to conclusions. What do we do now? He might be trying to steal our highly classified secrets!"

Another ANBU ninja said nervously, "Should we stop Naruto?"

"No... We’ve been ordered not to interfere with Naruto’s actions unless absolutely necessary. The purpose is to not affect his mindset as the Jinchuriki!"

The ANBU ninja answered firmly.

This was the order throughout ANBU. Even the guards at the tower felt helpless.

All eyes turned toward the two ANBU following Naruto, waiting for them to decide—should they intervene or let it go?

At last... the group exchanged glances, then the Anbu ninja monitoring Naruto spoke up: "Keep watching Uzumaki Naruto’s movements here. I’ll go notify the Hokage and ask how to handle this."

Finally, the Anbu ninja went alone to find Sarutobi Hiruzen.

From afar, the Hokage’s office still had lights on. Perhaps the Hokage was still working.

That made things easier to solve.

If they had to go to the Sarutobi clan directly, it would be troublesome.

Inside the wooden room,

"Kid, just now there were at least six people watching outside, but they seem a bit cautious of you, so they didn’t stop your actions."

As Naruto just entered the room, the Nine-Tails’ somewhat cheeky voice appeared in his mind.

"Six people, huh?" Naruto narrowed his eyes and murmured, a sly smile curling on his lips.

Just as Mizuki predicted, those people had been watching him.

And Konoha was always alert to his movements.

"One has already left, seems to be heading towards the Hokage’s office!" Nine-Tails said suddenly, surprised. "Is he going to ask for help? Little guy, want some backup? I can lend you my power for free!"

Nine-Tails kept chatting nonstop in Naruto’s mind.

"Going to find Sarutobi Hiruzen to figure out how to deal with me?" Naruto scoffed, but still replied, "Thanks this time, but I won’t use your power just yet."

Actually, after talking with Mizuki, Naruto had entered the mental world and chatted with Nine-Tails for a while.

He just wanted Nine-Tails to check if someone was watching him, and how many.

Since Naruto left home, Nine-Tails had been reporting the movements of those two Anbu ninjas nearby.

This could be called his very first cooperation with the Nine-Tails.

"Thanks for your help this time, but now I have to find the Scroll of Seals!" Naruto Uzumaki expressed his gratitude once more before turning his gaze toward the countless scrolls laid out before him.

He didn’t care why Mizuki had told him about the Scroll of Seals. Now that he knew of its existence, there was no way he’d let such a chance to grow stronger slip through his fingers.

He had to become stronger. The Scroll of Seals was something he must obtain.

He wanted to learn the jutsu written within it.

"Tch... This is the first time in over a decade that I’ve had such a good chat with anyone other than Genya," the Nine-Tails muttered, watching Naruto cut off their connection.

The beast curled its lip, revealing sharp fangs.

"But I do enjoy watching Konoha fall into chaos. Hmph, you humans love to use me like a war machine, locking me up in this dark, endless space."

While the Nine-Tails vented its frustrations, Naruto continued his search for the Scroll of Seals.

According to Mizuki, it was supposed to be a very large, very thick scroll.

Hiruzen Sarutobi puffed from his long pipe, but his brows were furrowed tightly. Sitting across from him was his son, Asuma.

"You’re saying Kakashi still hasn’t handed Naruto over to you?"
