Naruto: Limit Breaker Chapter 30

Chapter 30: The Truth Finally Known

The pressure the Byakugan can exert might not lie in the direct output of spiritual energy.

That was the realization Ryosuke came to after sensing that god-like presence earlier.

He'd always known the result—that the Byakugan, much like the Rinnegan, could emit a powerful pressure outward. But he had no clue how Kaguya Otsutsuki had actually accomplished it.

Because of this gap in knowledge, Ryosuke never limited himself to a single method. Instead, he experimented freely, constantly testing theories and ideas.

One such theory involved using spiritual energy, with the Byakugan acting as a conduit. In theory, one could generate intense pressure across the entire body using this combination. But to do that would require an immense reserve of energy. Kaguya probably had that kind of power. Ryosuke, however, didn't—at least not yet.

Which meant that if he truly wanted to replicate that ability, the Byakugan would need to act as an amplifier for his spiritual energy.

But that was a whole other problem to solve.

One question always led to another. Countless experiments and dead ends left Ryosuke stuck on this issue for a long time.

Now, though, he had a new lead: momentum.

It was a vague concept, hard to quantify, but one that had shown up in plenty of records from both his past life and the present one.

"Momentum" was almost ethereal—difficult to define. The closest scientific equivalent would be something like a personal magnetic field.

And because every person experiences life differently, each individual gives off a different field. Those who've lived through much, held positions of power, or become highly capable tend to emit a far stronger presence. Just standing there, they command attention without saying a word.

But those who've lived quietly, blending into the crowd? Their magnetic field mirrors the average. Their presence, by comparison, becomes almost invisible.

Ryosuke had read about this. He'd even seen experiments that tried to quantify it. But he wasn't a specialist, and there was only so much he could understand.

Still, that recent experience had changed something. He had felt that kind of presence firsthand.

Back then, had he increased his chakra? His eye power? His physical strength?

Ryosuke was certain—none of his stats had improved.

And yet... something had changed. A real, tangible shift.

It wasn't just arrogance, self-confidence, or delusion. It wasn't emotion distorting perception.

It was a genuine change.

A shift on another plane, something invisible and abstract—like momentum—that affected not just him but those around him.

That was what had made Hinata freeze in fear back then.

Now, lying flat on his bed, Ryosuke stared at the vast starry sky through the skylight. His eyes gradually lost their emotions as he attempted to recapture that feeling—that state of mind.

He was trying to find that momentum again, to learn how to wield it, and eventually... integrate it into the Byakugan.

Once that happened, it would become a source of real power—one that could pressure reality itself.

"So... I'm a monster."

Ryosuke's heightened senses—sharper than any normal person's—picked up the soft, barely audible whisper from the bed next to his. It was Naruto's voice.

So... Hiruzen had finally told him the truth about the Nine-Tails.

It didn't take long for Ryosuke to piece it all together based on Naruto's murmuring.

Over a month had passed since the start of the school year. The entrance exams were done. Class placements had been finalized.

Just as Ryosuke had predicted, his class lineup barely changed. Only a few students from lesser-known families had been replaced by high-scoring kids from other classes. Everyone else—especially those from the big clans—remained.

Naruto, ever since that day, had been pestering him about chakra control. Ryosuke had advised him to ask the Hokage directly.

At first, Hiruzen had fed Naruto all sorts of half-truths and theoretical fluff—pulling from his vast knowledge to avoid mentioning the beast sealed inside him. He didn't want Naruto to know that the real reason for his chakra control problems was the interference of another consciousness—a beast sealed inside his very body.

But this Naruto wasn't the loud, prank-loving goof from the original timeline.

He wasn't starting fights or pulling stunts to get attention.

Because of his reputation, no one dared challenge him either.

That left Naruto isolated, with no outlet but his studies. He dove into his books. His theory was solid, even ranking him third in the class—behind only Hinata and Haruno Sakura.

Which meant... he was sharp enough to see through Hiruzen's evasions.

Within a week, Ryosuke could tell the Hokage had given up trying to hide the truth.

Even now, hearing Naruto mutter to himself, Ryosuke didn't say a word.

He always let Naruto come to him first.

And this time would be no different.

The lunch break passed peacefully. After sharing lunch with Hinata, Ryosuke rested, then joined the rest for afternoon classes.

Most of the day went by quietly. Naruto sat in his seat, unmoving.

But in the end, just as Ryosuke predicted, he spoke.

Class wasn't over yet. Iruka stood at the front, explaining the theory behind poison-making.

Naruto leaned closer, his voice low but clear—only loud enough for Ryosuke to hear.

"What's up?" Ryosuke turned to him, genuinely curious.

"You said that if..." Naruto hesitated, stumbling on his words. "Never mind. I think... I think I know why the people in the village hate me."

Originally, he planned to ask indirectly—to test the waters.

But when he met Ryosuke's calm, steady gaze, he dropped the act.

He swallowed hard, then pointed to his stomach. "There's a big fox living in my body."

His voice was serious. Eyes steady.

"A huge fox... that feels evil."
