Itachi Uchiha slowly walked up to the collapsed Orochimaru. Itachi's appearance was the last thing he had wanted to see. Why was his Konoha Crush plan so fraught with disaster?
"You… don't come over here!" Orochimaru roared, his voice filled with a desperate, primal fear.
"Orochimaru," Itachi said calmly, "if I can seal you once, I can seal you a second time. This time… I will not give you any chance to escape." As he spoke, his gaze fell upon Orochimaru's blackened, useless hands. "Are your hands sealed? It doesn't look like an ordinary sealing technique. You're in a rather miserable state, Orochimaru."
Orochimaru knew very well that even when he was at his peak, Itachi had never taken him seriously. In his current condition, he stood no chance.
It was the first time Kabuto Yakushi had ever seen Orochimaru so utterly desperate. He gritted his teeth, drew a kunai, and stepped in front of his master. "Lord Orochimaru, please, run! I'll hold him off!"
"Kabuto, you… you are no match for him," Orochimaru trembled.
But Kabuto, eager to protect his master, had already made up his mind. "We can only know that by trying!"
Itachi looked at Kabuto's determined expression, completely unmoved. He simply closed his eyes. When he opened them again, two scarlet pinwheels spun where his pupils had been.
This is… the Mangekyo Sharingan!
Kabuto was shocked. He tried to avert his gaze, but it was too late. The world around him began to warp and bleed. In a blood-red, hazy atmosphere, he found himself bound to a large, wooden cross.
This… could this be that place?

Kabuto knew he was caught in an illusion and quickly tried to break free, but no matter how hard he tried, the gruesome scene before him remained unchanged.

Itachi raised his hand, and a long, sharp blade appeared. He swung it down, stabbing it deep into Kabuto's stomach.
"Gaaaaaah!" Kabuto screamed, a heart-wrenching pain spreading through every fiber of his being. Before he could even recover, Itachi's next blow came, and then the next, and the next.
"Gaaaaah!" It hurts, it hurts so much… The pain was incredibly, agonizingly real. In that moment, Kabuto wanted to die.
"In the world of Tsukuyomi, space, time, mass… everything is under my control," Itachi's voice echoed, cold and dispassionate, as the sword in his hand continued its gruesome work without pause. "For the next seventy-two hours, I will continue to stab you with this blade."
"I will pierce every inch of your body."
"Every pain you see inflicted upon your other selves, you will also feel."
"You are in my illusion."
Kabuto was completely and utterly desperate. This was torture. Time crawled by, each second an eternity. All around him were his own screams, and the endless, unbearable pain.
"Gaaaaah!" He had never suffered such a great punishment.
