The awesome power of the Kurama clan Kekkei Genkai did not come without its limitations. It was a classic case of mind over matter; the Kekkei Genkai could make one's Genjutsu so lifelike that it could make injuries incurred in illusions manifest in real life… but this also applied to its wielder.
Take Kurama Yakumo, for example.
Her yin side had grown to such an extent that she had lost the ability to control her powers all by herself— to prevent herself from accidentally committing seppuku with a stray thought, she had subconsciously divided her power by creating a split personality to cope with it. "Fine, you win," Sakura hissed to herself. "Even though this is really gay, I'll ask Sasuke out on a date; so just get these Leaf Shinobi out of harm's way!"
'Yay!' Inner Sakura cheered. 'But really, wouldn't it be gayer for us to go out with Tenten, since we're both women?'
Sakura let out a sigh of relief— Inner Sakura had fallen for the bait. Thankfully, the Id's cavewoman brain only occupied a tiny fraction of Sakura's conscious mind, so Sakura had been able to fool her, thanks to her vastly superior computing power.
After all, with Itachi still on the loose, there was no way that Sasuke would accept to go out with her on a date at Ichiraku Ramen.
