Chapter 39 - 39: Tailed Beast Bomb vs Tremor Fruit
Shukaku narrowed its eyes at the boy who remained completely still, even with death looming above him.
For a moment, it was taken aback. Then, with a wicked grin, it imagined the scene—Zeldris flattened beneath its massive claw, reduced to a red stain in the sand.
But just as the beast relished that thought—
Crack.
A sharp sound echoed through the air.
Like glass breaking.

"Huh?!"
Shukaku's grin faltered.
That noise... it wasn't something physical shattering. It was space itself.
Before it could fully grasp what was happening, it felt resistance—its massive claw, once charged with overwhelming power, came to a complete stop in midair. As if slammed against an invisible wall.
"What the hell...?!"
Shukaku blinked in disbelief.
Its attack—strong enough to level Towns—was frozen in place. An invisible force held it there like a toy.
In the next breath, it saw them: jagged white cracks spreading across the air under its claw.
The space around Zeldris was fracturing like a mirror under pressure.
The beast stared.
"What kind of... ninjutsu is this?!"
In all its centuries of life, in all the chaos it had witnessed across the ninja world—Shukaku had never seen anything like it.
Zeldris stood at the center of it all, eyes cold, calm, untouched by the monster looming above.
And then the light returned to his hand—fierce, blinding, alive. The ground beneath him started to tremble.
Not just a tremor. The entire village was quaking again.
From a distance, the Sand ninjas felt the tremors and froze.
"Is this an earthquake?!"
"No... this happened before Shukaku appeared too..."
"Wait... don't tell me—it's him?! The intruder?!"
The realization hit them like a slap to the face.
The fear on their faces deepened.
Back near the battlefield, Shukaku looked down, his expression darkening. The quake had grown stronger, the power undeniable.
"You... you're starting to interest me, kid."
"Maybe you're even stronger than Rasa. And here I thought this village had nothing left."
But before it could gloat further, a surge of pressure hit its limb.

The claw—it shattered.
Chunks of it dissolved into dust, scattering like sand in the wind.
"W-what?!"
Shukaku recoiled, staring in stunned disbelief at the remains of its massive hand.

What was this kid?
It wasn't just brute strength—it was something else, something deeper, more terrifying.
Before the beast could gather its thoughts, a familiar voice drifted up.
"Hey, tanuki."
Zeldris stood tall, eyes gleaming with a dangerous calm. His voice was low, but clear.
"Are you going to come quietly?"
"Or should I beat you unconscious and drag you away?"

Shukaku froze.
Had it heard that right?
"You little bastard!" it bellowed. "You dare talk to me like that?! I'll reduce you to ashes!"
With a furious roar, Shukaku's mouth opened wide.
Dark chakra surged from its core—pulsing waves of black and white energy swirling together with terrifying speed.
The desert stilled. The air grew heavy.
Seconds later, the chakra condensed into a massive, swirling sphere—purple-black in color, radiating destructive energy that distorted the space around it.
The Tailed Beast Bomb.
Even from afar, the Sand ninjas watching felt their hearts freeze.
"Th-that's... it's the Tailed Beast Bomb!"
"Dear gods, we're finished..."
An oppressive silence fell.
They could feel it in their bones—that thing carried death. No one could stop it. Not even a miracle could save them now.
Atop a distant rooftop, Chiyo's expression twisted in horror.
"No...! What is Rasa doing?! We have to stop it before—!"
Beside her, Sasori remained silent, arms crossed.
His eyes stayed on Zeldris.
He knew.
It wasn't Rasa out there.
It was Zeldris.
The earlier shockwaves, the space fracture, the claw's destruction... all of it came from him.
And now, he was standing face-to-face with a Tailed Beast Bomb.
Zeldris's gaze sharpened.
"So... you're really angry now," he murmured.
"You went straight to your ultimate move."
As if in response, the orb pulsed ominously—
BOOM!
Shukaku released it.
The Tailed Beast Bomb tore through the air like a meteor from hell, heading straight for Zeldris.
The ground trembled. The sky dimmed.
A wave of pressure swept across the battlefield.
The Sand ninjas could do nothing but watch—and wait.
