"If we delay for a few days, Elder Danzo may return. At that point, we could launch the full assault without issue."
The leader of the Yamanaka clan voiced his concerns.
"Captain Yamanaka, your idea is sound, but we don't have the luxury of time. I don't need to tell you how vital Tetsuishi Town is. Wind Country and Rain Country's shinobi are already beginning to move toward this area—we can't afford any delays. If we're going to strike, we need to do it now."
Jiraiya dismissed Yamanaka's proposal without hesitation. In theory, feint attacks would be an effective tactic—wearing down the enemy's energy and morale before the real assault. But that only worked when there was ample time. Right now, time was the one thing they lacked.
The orders from the Konoha leadership were clear: Tetsuishi Town had to be taken by Konoha alone.
If not for this order, Konoha could have joined forces with the other two nations and captured the town with minimal effort. But that wasn't an option.
