Of course, their words were pure deception. With the Land of Wind's shinobi now at their disposal, they had no intention of backing down. Their true aim was to drive a wedge between Sarutobi and Jiraiya, though they knew the chances of success were slim.
"What a joke. Do you think the Land of Fire is a place you can come and go as you please? Since you've stepped foot here, you might as well stay forever." Jiraiya stepped forward, his face cold.
The Raikage and the others still believed they held the initiative. How utterly foolish.
Jiraiya had no interest in wasting words. With both armies now face to face, there was no need for further discussion—only battle remained. They had already prepared a battle plan. It was time to execute it.

I recently found a really good fanfic called "Starting from One Piece with the Rinnegan", you can also find it on my Webnovel profile. It's about a character with the Rinnegan who ends up in the One Piece world.
He's not some overpowered guy crushing Yonko on day one, but he's definitely not weak either. He's strong enough to survive and grow, which gives the story a nice balance.
I'd say the pacing is smooth, easy to read, and packed with action. Personally, I didn't feel bored even when rereading it, which is rare for me!
