Now that it had reached LV5, he could wield Wind Release techniques with absolute proficiency. He doubted there was any Wind-based jutsu he couldn't learn at this point.
However, considering that the maximum level was LV10, what exactly would the next five levels enhance?

He pondered for a moment, then his expression darkened.
Which chakra nature could Wind combine with to create a Kekkei Genkai?
Although he had seen the original storyline, he wasn't entirely clear on all the Kekkei Genkai combinations. The only one he could recall for sure was that Water and Earth created Wood Release. But even if he managed to merge them, without a high enough Yang chakra level, he'd only end up at Yamato's level—hardly useful.
Akio checked his status screen again.
Wind and Earth? Mud Release? That sounded unreliable.
Wind and Fire? That made more sense—wind could enhance fire.
Wind and Lightning? Wasn't there something called Swift Release in the lore?
Wind and Water? Ah, that should be Ice Release. A tempting choice.
After much deliberation, Akio decided to pass on Water Release and instead chose Fire Release. In the long run, he remembered that the fusion of Wind, Earth, and Fire led to Dust Release—the signature jutsu of the Third Tsuchikage, Ōnoki. That ability had always seemed incredibly powerful to him. Given the opportunity, he was determined to pursue it.
Clenching his teeth, he invested 37 Witness Points into Fire Release.

Whatever. Time to test out my new technique.
He quickly headed to the First Training Ground. Without forming a single hand seal, he merely willed it—and small fireballs formed around him.
The fireballs hovered at his command, expanding and contracting based on his will.
Akio smirked. "Go, my little fireballs!"
The projectiles shot forward, crashing into the ground with an explosion of smoke and dust. When the haze cleared, he examined the scorched marks left behind and nodded in satisfaction.
"This is nearly on par with Rasengan in power. My attack capabilities just got a whole lot more flexible!"
He then formed hand seals. "Scorch Release: Overheat Kill!"
The fireballs around him glowed ominously.
Akio shuddered. A technique that instantly evaporates the water inside a human body? Too dangerous—I should use this sparingly.
For the next half hour, he rigorously tested his new Kekkei Genkai. The results were beyond satisfying.
Scorch Release wasn't just powerful; it provided both offensive and defensive options. The floating fireballs worked seamlessly with his Taijutsu, allowing for smooth and deadly combinations.
After testing, Akio undid the Scorch Release fusion. Suddenly, a thought struck him—
What if I merge Fire into Wind instead of the other way around?
Without hesitation, he performed the fusion. The result stunned him.

He racked his brain until he finally recalled it—Dark Release had appeared in the Naruto movie The Will of Fire. The villain, Hiruko, had used it to absorb ninjutsu and fire back blue flames.
If not for its absorption limit, this ability would be even more terrifying than the Rinnegan's Preta Path…
Akio experimented immediately.
After forming over fifty seals, he activated his new ability. Mysterious symbols appeared on his palms.
"Shadow Clone Jutsu!" A clone formed and conjured a Rasengan.
"Dark Release: Illusion Killer!" Akio pressed his palm against the Rasengan, absorbing it completely and converting it back into chakra.
He smirked, then turned to his clone. "Fire Release: Great Fireball Jutsu!"
As the clone released a massive fireball, Akio countered.
"Dark Release: Absorption Vortex!" The symbols on his palms radiated with energy, pulling the fireball into his hands.
He then extended his palms. "Dark Release: Evil Annihilation!"
A burst of pale blue flames shot toward the clone.
"Earth Release: Earth Flow Wall!" The clone quickly formed a defensive barrier, but the blue fire effortlessly pierced through, striking it down.
Akio nodded. "Not bad."
Suddenly, he winced. The clone's memories returned to him—
I just hit myself…
Gaining two Kekkei Genkai in one go, Akio was more than pleased. Both Scorch and Dark Release had significantly boosted his offensive power. As for defense, with Shuriken Replacement Jutsu, he didn't feel the need to worry just yet.
He glanced at his remaining Witness Points—only 10 left. After some thought, he allocated 9 points to Lightning Release, preparing to unlock techniques like Chidori.
Originally, he hadn't planned to focus on Lightning Release so soon. But since he had taken on three disciples, and among them, Jitou's primary chakra nature was Lightning, he needed something useful to teach.
With this round of upgrades, Akio's abilities had taken another major leap forward.
