With a thought, Uchiha Fugaku extended his hand and pointed forward.
A bone spur extended from the palm of his hand, growing to several dozen centimeters in length. Its tip was sharp, the base thick, and the entire structure a pure white, resembling polished ivory.
Ding, ding!
He tapped it with his fingers, producing a sound like striking metal.
Next, he pulled out a kunai and struck the bone spur. The resulting metallic clang reverberated through the room, and when he inspected the spur, he found no scratches on its surface.
The durability of the bone spur matched the hardness of the kunai, proving it was as strong as high-grade steel.
"Disperse."
With a command in his mind, the bone spur began to disintegrate from the tip, crumbling into dust as if weathered over time. Within moments, it disappeared entirely.
The Corpse Bone Vein was a bloodline limit that controlled the user's skeletal system. It allowed manipulation of bone growth, hardening, and decomposition. Remarkably, it could even reabsorb the bone components back into the body, restoring some chakra and minimizing waste.
However, Fugaku chose not to reabsorb the components. Bones extending outside the body could easily become contaminated with bacteria or enemy blood and tissue, increasing the risk of infection.
"The middle-aged man's Corpse Bone Vein was second only to Kimimaro's," Fugaku muttered to himself. "He once demonstrated combat power close to a Kage. By integrating his abilities, my strength with the Corpse Bone Vein alone is now nearing that level."
"But nearing Kage-level isn't enough for me."
Fugaku unsealed another body from a scroll—a young Kaguya clansman in his twenties. This young man, with strength approaching that of an elite jonin, possessed a Corpse Bone Vein slightly weaker than the middle-aged man but still formidable within the Kaguya clan.
Buzz.
The Mangekyō Sharingan in Fugaku's left eye began to spin rapidly as he activated the corpse-melting ability. A black vortex appeared, drawing the young man's body into its depths.
White, bone-like biological tissue emerged from the vortex and spread throughout Fugaku's body, attaching itself magnetically to his skeletal structure.

Once again, the sound of bones transforming echoed through the room. Fugaku's skeletal structure grew denser, harder, and tougher as the second corpse was integrated into his body. The activity of his bone cells surged, and the transformation completed within moments.
Fugaku flexed his hands, feeling the power coursing through his body. His bones had become even stronger. If he formed another bone spur, it would undoubtedly be sharper and more durable than before.
"I've integrated two Kaguya corpses with strong Corpse Bone Vein abilities. I wonder if I've reached Kage-level strength with just the Corpse Bone Vein alone," he mused.
But Fugaku quickly dismissed the thought. With a supply of Kaguya clan corpses at his disposal, he had the resources to go beyond. More than a dozen Snow Clan corpses had elevated his Ice Release Kekkei Genkai to Kage-level power. It was only a matter of time before the Corpse Bone Vein achieved the same.
"My chakra reserves are sufficient. I can continue."
He resumed the process, smelting corpse after corpse. Each integration strengthened his skeleton further, making his bones denser and harder.
By the time his chakra reserves were nearly depleted, Fugaku had melted a total of twelve Kaguya clan corpses. His skeletal system, enhanced twelve times, now surpassed the hardness of most metals.
"With the current level of mastery over Corpse Bone Vein ninjutsu, achieving Kage-level combat power is no longer a question—it's inevitable," Fugaku concluded.
The middle-aged Kaguya clansman's abilities had already brought him close to Kage-level. Now, with eleven additional corpses enhancing his bloodline, the gap was bridged.
"My current Corpse Bone Vein abilities surpass Kimimaro's."
Fugaku was confident in his assessment. Kimimaro, had he not succumbed to illness, would have undoubtedly reached Kage-level combat power. With twelve Kaguya corpses integrated into his own bloodline, Fugaku's capabilities with Corpse Bone Vein ninjutsu had surpassed Kimimaro's potential.
"In terms of sheer strength, the Corpse Bone Vein might even surpass my Ice Release Kekkei Genkai," Fugaku thought, his excitement building.
Both bloodlines had been enhanced by integrating more than a dozen corpses, but the quality of the Kaguya corpses was undeniably superior. Of the twelve, five had possessed exceptional Corpse Bone Vein abilities, making the resultant bloodline far more potent.
"There are still many more Kaguya corpses to integrate. If I can strengthen the Corpse Bone Vein hundreds of times, what heights can it reach?"
Fugaku's eyes glimmered with anticipation.
Once all the Kaguya corpses in his possession were melted, his Corpse Bone Vein would undoubtedly reach an unparalleled level. It was even possible that the combat power of his Corpse Bone Vein ninjutsu might surpass that of his Mangekyō Sharingan, making it his strongest bloodline ability.
But Fugaku wasn't satisfied with stopping there.

His heart raced at the thought.
The Corpse Bone Vein originated from Kaguya Otsutsuki, the progenitor of all chakra. Fugaku speculated that the ultimate evolution of the Corpse Bone Vein might be the Co-Killing Gray Bones—a terrifying ability of the Six Paths level.
This possibility filled him with ambition.
"If I integrate all the Kaguya corpses, could I transform the Corpse Bone Vein into Co-Killing Gray Bones?"
The mere thought of obtaining a power that transcended bloodline limits and touched upon the realm of the divine filled Fugaku with anticipation.
