"Counselor Danzo, what do you mean by this?"
Surrounded by hundreds of Root members, Uchiha Fugaku's face remained expressionless. His sharp eyes bore into Danzo Shimura, though his tone carried an edge.
"Uchiha Fugaku," Danzo began coldly, leaning on his cane, "I suspect you were the mastermind behind the Nine-Tails Rebellion five years ago. You are under arrest."
A sinister glint flickered in Danzo's lone visible eye as he continued, "Surrender now, or I will kill you where you stand."
Fugaku's lips twitched into a mocking smile. "The Nine-Tails Rebellion, you say?"
At first stunned, he soon broke into quiet laughter that turned into a sneer, his eyes gleaming with disdain. "Danzo Shimura, if you want to kill me, just say so. Why bother fabricating such a flimsy excuse?"
"Don't play innocent!" Danzo barked, stomping his cane into the ground. "I have evidence to prove the Uchiha clan orchestrated the rebellion!"
"Evidence?" Fugaku asked, his tone laced with sarcasm. "What evidence?"
"The Uchiha clan's Sharingan can control the tailed beasts. As the most powerful member of your clan at the time, you must have been involved!" Danzo declared, his voice laced with accusation.
Fugaku's laughter grew louder. "That's it? That's your so-called evidence?" He shook his head mockingly. "Do you take the Uchiha clan for fools, Danzo?"
"Baseless accusations like this won't stand in the village," added Uchiha Atsuko, her voice icy with anger.
Uchiha Huang, his face as stoic as ever, said flatly, "This is nothing more than a blatant attempt to defame the Uchiha clan."
"Enough!" Danzo's harsh voice cut through the growing dissent. His expression darkened as he sneered, "If you're acting with Uchiha Fugaku, then you're complicit in his crimes. You'll all be arrested!"
Fugaku's eyes narrowed. "Danzo, if the village learns of this, even you won't escape punishment."
"The village won't know," Danzo replied, his tone chillingly calm, as if stating an unshakable truth. He raised his hand, giving the signal.
At once, hundreds of elite Root members sprang into action.
"Fire Style: Great Dragon Fire Technique!"
"Wind Style: Vacuum Wave!"
"Fire Style: Flame Meteor!"
A barrage of combined Wind Style and Fire Style ninjutsu surged toward Fugaku and his companions. The winds fed the flames, transforming them into a roaring inferno that consumed the surrounding forest in an instant.
The blazing attack bore down on the Uchiha group from all sides like an inescapable tsunami of fire.
"Defensive formation!" Fugaku commanded.
The ten Uchiha clan members with him unleashed their own powerful ninjutsu, attempting to counter the incoming flames. However, the overwhelming combination of fire and wind, fueled by the collective strength of hundreds of elite shinobi, proved too much.
Their attacks were swallowed by the inferno, which roared forward without losing momentum.
Inside the flaming vortex, the Uchiha members braced themselves for impact, but Fugaku remained calm. His Mangekyō Sharingan spun to life.
"Susanoo."
Thick black chakra erupted from Fugaku, rapidly forming into a massive skeletal structure. The half-skeleton Susanoo towered over them, shielding the entire group within its impenetrable frame.
The flames crashed against the black Susanoo with deafening roars, but they failed to penetrate its defenses.
When the inferno finally subsided, the forest was left charred, the ground scorched and molten in places. But within the Susanoo, Fugaku and his companions stood unharmed.
"Susanoo," Uchiha Atsuko murmured in awe, her eyes wide with disbelief.
"This… this is Susanoo?" Uchiha Huang's normally expressionless face betrayed a flicker of surprise.
Susanoo, a legendary ability unique to those who awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan, had not been seen in generations.
Fugaku's calm voice broke through their astonishment. "I awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan ten years ago," he said, his tone steady but firm. "This must remain a secret. Tell no one what you've seen here."
"Yes, Chief!" the Uchiha members responded in unison, their voices filled with newfound reverence.
From outside the black skeletal shield, Danzo's expression darkened as the smoke cleared. He stared at the unscathed Uchiha group and the towering Susanoo.
"Impossible," Danzo muttered, his hand gripping his cane tightly. "Mangekyō Sharingan… Susanoo…"
He had planned for a Kage-level opponent, but the Mangekyō Sharingan changed everything. With it, Uchiha Fugaku's power was no longer on the same scale as an ordinary Kage.
Danzo's mind raced as he recalculated his strategy.
"Uchiha Fugaku," Danzo growled, his voice trembling with suppressed rage. "You've truly become a threat."
The Root members, who had been readying a second wave of attacks, hesitated at the sight of the Susanoo. The oppressive aura emanating from it shook even the most hardened shinobi.
Fugaku's voice rang out, calm but commanding. "Danzo Shimura, if you think this power will fall to your schemes, you're gravely mistaken."
Danzo's lone eye glimmered with malice as he barked his next order. "All units, prepare to attack again! Uchiha Fugaku must not leave this forest alive!"
The Root members steeled themselves, forming new hand seals. The forest seemed to hold its breath as Fugaku's Susanoo loomed ominously, ready to meet whatever came next.
