"Who…?"
The Mist Village ninjas froze when Uchiha Fugaku appeared suddenly. Their attacks on the little girl halted as their attention shifted to him. While some remained wary of the child, most focused their caution on the mysterious man. It was evident that he posed a far greater threat.
"Are you the... wandering ninja?" one ninja muttered, recognizing the figure before them.
Uchiha Fugaku had resumed his wandering ninja guise. Several Mist ninjas quickly realized that he was the same individual who had stolen the bodies of the Kaguya clan and escaped from Mei Terumi. Their wariness turned into outright alarm—this man was far from ordinary.
Ignoring their reactions, Uchiha Fugaku turned to the little girl. "Do you want to live?" he asked, his voice calm yet commanding. "If you do, follow me."
The little girl's wide eyes flickered with both surprise and cautious hope as she looked at this unexpected savior.
"Uncle, will you help me... kill them?" Her small voice trembled with suppressed anger, her innocence tinged with raw emotion.
"Of course," Uchiha Fugaku replied with a smile. "As long as you agree to follow me, none of them will survive."
The girl hesitated for only a moment before nodding firmly. "I do."
"Good." His smile deepened, carrying both reassurance and a faint chill.
"Kill him!" one of the Mist Village ninjas roared, sensing the growing danger. They unleashed an array of attacks—water-style ninjutsu surged forward, shurikens rained down, and swordsmen closed in for combat.
Before the attacks could reach their target, Uchiha Fugaku and the girl vanished, reappearing dozens of meters away in a blur of motion.
"There! Together, use Water Style!" shouted a senior Mist ninja.
The remaining Mist ninjas quickly formed seals. "Water Style: Exploding Water Wave!" "Water Style: Water Dragon Bullet!" "Water Style: Water Colliding Wave!"
A massive torrent of water surged forward, threatening to drown everything in its path.
The little girl closed her eyes in fear, bracing for the onslaught. Uchiha Fugaku, however, remained calm, his fingers forming seals with practiced precision.
"Fire Style: Great Fire Annihilation!"
A massive wave of flames erupted from his mouth, roaring across the battlefield like a raging inferno. The fiery sea clashed head-on with the Mist ninjas' combined water-style jutsu.
Hissing steam filled the air as the flames evaporated the water, continuing their relentless advance. The Mist ninjas' eyes widened in horror as the inferno consumed their defenses.
"Ahhh!"
Several ninjas screamed as they were engulfed in flames, their bodies turning to charred remains.
The five surviving Mist ninjas stared in shock at the destruction. "Such power…" one whispered, his voice trembling.
"Retreat!" ordered the senior ninja without hesitation. Their confidence shattered, the survivors turned to flee.
"I made a promise," Uchiha Fugaku said coldly. "None of you will leave alive."
In a flash, he was upon them. His kunai slashed through the throat of the nearest ninja before they could react. Blood sprayed, and the man crumpled to the ground.
Fugaku moved like a phantom, dispatching the next ninja with a precise thrust to the chest. Each strike was swift and merciless, leaving no room for counterattack.
"Run! Split up!" shouted one of the remaining ninjas, panic etched across his face.
The two survivors darted in opposite directions, hoping to escape. But Uchiha Fugaku's Sharingan had already locked onto them. In two bursts of speed, he intercepted them one after the other. His kunai struck true, silencing their desperate cries.
The last body hit the ground with a dull thud. The battle was over.
The little girl opened her eyes, taking in the aftermath. She saw the Mist ninjas lying lifeless on the ground, and her savior standing amidst them, his expression calm and unshaken.
"Grandma… Haruto-ojisan…" the girl whispered.
Uchiha Fugaku gently set her down, and she ran to the bodies of her slain family members. Tears streamed down her face, but she bit her lip to suppress her sobs.
Despite her grief, she tried to appear strong. At her young age, she was already learning the harsh realities of the ninja world.
Uchiha Fugaku approached, pulling out a sealing scroll. With practiced ease, he sealed the bodies of the Snow Clan members, including the girl's grandmother and Haruto.
"It's time to go," he said softly, kneeling down to her level. "We can't stay here."
The girl glanced at him, her tear-streaked face filled with gratitude. She nodded silently, slipping her small hand into his.
With a flick of his hand, Uchiha Fugaku activated the Mayfly Technique, sinking into the earth with the girl. Their forms vanished, leaving the blood-soaked battlefield behind.
