Naruto: The Rise Of Uchiha Chapter 95

"My pupil power has been depleted a bit. I'll have to smelt the corpse bone veins next time."

Uchiha Fugaku originally planned to process the remains of the Kaguya clan all at once, but the strain on his Mangekyō Sharingan had left him with limited strength. Smelting the corpses of the Kaguya clan would have to wait.

He left the basement and stepped into the front yard, where the warm sunlight bathed everything in a golden hue. Uchiha Mikoto stood there, wearing a simple dark skirt and a light-colored apron. Despite her modest attire, her graceful figure and serene demeanor exuded the charm of a mature woman.

Her black hair cascaded down her back, and she held a watering can, sprinkling the flowers and plants with care.

"Fugaku, are you done?" she asked, turning to face him. Her beautiful eyes sparkled with warmth as she smiled gently.

"Yeah, all done," Fugaku replied, his lips curving into a smile.

After days of tension in the Land of Water, his nerves were still on edge. But Mikoto's smile and the tranquil scene eased his stress, allowing him to relax.

"Where's Sasuke?" he asked, noticing the absence of their youngest son.

"The weather is lovely today. I asked one of the servants to take him out to play. He needs to spend time with children his age," Mikoto explained. Sensing Fugaku's concern, she quickly added, "Don't worry, he's been training all morning. He hasn't slacked off."

"That's good," Fugaku said, nodding approvingly. He knew the importance of balancing work and rest.

"You wouldn't believe how popular Sasuke is with the girls," Mikoto said with a teasing smile. "I'm already struggling to decide who would make the best daughter-in-law."

Fugaku chuckled. "Isn't it too early to think about that? Sasuke is only five years old."

"It's never too early," Mikoto said earnestly. "It's important to form connections at a young age. That way, when they grow up, their bond will already be strong—just like us."

"Well, when you put it that way…" Fugaku relented, shaking his head with amusement.

"But Sasuke's so popular, I'm not sure which girl to choose," Mikoto said, frowning thoughtfully.

"Then why not pick a few and let him marry all of them?" Fugaku joked. "That would expand the Uchiha Clan."

Mikoto paused, seriously considering the idea. "You know… that does make sense. Sasuke is so popular, maybe he could marry more than one girl—" Suddenly, she turned a sharp gaze on Fugaku, suspicion flashing in her eyes. "Wait, you don't have the same idea for yourself, do you?"

"How could I?" Fugaku exclaimed, shaking his head vigorously. "You're all I need."

Mikoto's stern expression softened into a smile. "Good answer."

She turned her attention back to her thoughts. "That pink-haired girl, Haruno Sakura, is adorable. And Yamanaka Ino, with her golden hair, is quite charming too…"

The next morning, Fugaku woke early, his internal clock pulling him from sleep. Mikoto still lay beside him, her face flushed and serene. Smiling to himself, he quietly left the bed and stepped into the courtyard.

After donning weighted gear, he began his daily taijutsu training. His recent battle with Orochimaru had deepened his understanding of the Eight Gates technique. Though Orochimaru had escaped, Fugaku had come to appreciate the technique's true potential.

The Eight Gates multiplied physical strength by several magnitudes, but its power depended on the user's baseline fitness. The stronger the body, the more devastating the effects of opening the gates.

After an intense session that left him drenched in sweat, Fugaku took a quick shower and changed into his uniform.

"Fugaku, breakfast is ready!" Mikoto called from the kitchen.

Despite having servants, Mikoto preferred to prepare meals herself, a gesture that always warmed Fugaku's heart.

After breakfast, Fugaku headed to the Security Department, where he processed several documents before the morning passed. Just as he was wrapping up, a female clan member burst into his office.

"Captain, some of our clan members had a conflict with the Shimura Clan and started fighting!"

"A conflict?" Fugaku raised an eyebrow. "What caused it?"

"Some of our people were talking about Lady Tsunade causing a scene at Root," the woman explained. "Shimura Clan members overheard and got into an argument with them. It escalated into a fight."

Fugaku's lips curled into a cold smile. "Danzo's followers can't even tolerate a little criticism, can they?"

The clan member's face turned serious. "Shimura Clan reinforcements are on the way. Our people might be in trouble."

"Lead the way," Fugaku ordered, rising from his seat.

On a bustling street, two groups of people stood locked in a tense standoff. On one side were Uchiha clan members, their attire proudly displaying the family's crest. On the other were members of the Shimura Clan, equally defiant. Both sides bore visible injuries from their earlier brawl.

"How dare you slander Lord Danzo!" one of the Shimura members shouted.

"Slander?" an Uchiha retorted. "Everyone knows Danzo did something to provoke Lady Tsunade. Otherwise, why would she attack Root?"

"Don't talk nonsense without proof!" the Shimura member growled. "You'll regret it if you keep spouting baseless accusations!"

The argument threatened to erupt into another fight when Fugaku arrived, flanked by members of the Security Department.

"Quiet!" Fugaku's voice cut through the commotion like a blade.

The Uchiha clan members immediately fell silent. The Shimura Clan members hesitated, but a glance from the imposing security officers quelled their protests.

"Take all participants to the Security Department," Fugaku ordered. "Anyone who resists will face severe consequences."

"Yes, Captain!" the security officers replied.

As the guards moved to detain the fighters, a man in a brown kimono strode onto the scene. His attire bore the Shimura crest, and his demeanor exuded authority.

"Captain Fugaku, surely it's inappropriate for the Security Department to handle this matter," the man said, his tone laced with accusation.

Fugaku's eyes narrowed. "And why would that be?"
