Naruto : Tsunade, You're Really Drunk Chapter 231

"It's so dark... I can't see anything..."

"I can't hear anything..."

"Am I... going to die?"

The girl sealed within the scroll could no longer sense anything.

And yet, she didn't feel any pain. Instead, what she felt was... relief.

Ever since she had witnessed her parents' deaths and awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan, her unique dōjutsu had been discovered by the clan.

Her exclusive ocular technique—Eight Thousand Spears.

Much like Shisui Uchiha, she had awakened a rare Mangekyō ability. Both of them possessed spiritual-type techniques. Just like Shisui's Kotoamatsukami, her eyes also had different effects in each eye.

Shisui's Kotoamatsukami could permanently rewrite a person's will with one eye, and temporarily alter someone's consciousness with the other.

Her technique, Eight Thousand Spears, worked similarly. Her left eye could mark a target, and her right eye could link to the marked target's chakra and mind—allowing her to control them entirely.

She could drain their chakra… or turn them into her puppets.

While it couldn't permanently rewrite someone's will like Kotoamatsukami, it was arguably even more terrifying—especially in warfare.

But once the Uchiha clan discovered her ability, they imprisoned her in a dungeon and subjected her to cruel experiments.

At first, she endured it all willingly—for the clan her parents had died to protect. She allowed herself to be studied, tortured, and dissected. She believed it was all for the greater good.

But over time, her cooperation was twisted into cowardice. Her clan no longer saw her as a prodigy, but a tool. The awe and reverence turned into calculated exploitation.

They stopped calling her by name.

She became a "weapon."

Eventually, the clan succeeded in forcibly copying Tsukuyomi, Amaterasu, and Kagutsuchi onto her body.

Then, they sent her to war—over and over again.

She bled for them. Killed for them. Won victories that expanded the clan's influence and power across the nations.

The Uchiha reached heights they had never dreamed of.

And yet… she was no longer considered one of them.

They imprisoned her in a cursed cell deep underground, feeding her rotting vegetables and spoiled grain just enough to keep her alive.

She had fulfilled her parents' final wishes. She had protected the clan and brought them honor.

But in the end… she was empty.

"Why…?"

"Why did I give everything to this family, only for them to forget me?"

"I just wanted to eat good food... wear nice clothes... be treated like a normal girl..."

"Why did they make me endure so much pain, and then lock me away like a monster?"

"They even added a seal to the prison—just for me—afraid I'd escape?"

"Aren't we supposed to be family?"

Her thoughts were muddled and her emotions numb, but the sorrow ran deep. Her parents' dying wishes still bound her tightly, even now.

Even when the Uzumaki sealed her away, she hadn't resisted.

Life was too exhausting.

Too painful.

She had lived the life her clan expected of her. She fulfilled her duty.

But her own wishes… her feelings… were buried long ago.

She couldn't even remember her name anymore.

What did "Uchiha" even mean anymore?

"...Forget it. None of it matters now."

"It's over. I can finally rest."

"I wonder... what's waiting after death. Maybe, just maybe... I can finally live for me."

On the battlefield, Uchiha Hikaru broke through the weakened Four Red Yang Formation, slaughtered the Uzumaki ninjas guarding it, and pursued the retreating squad.

He soon intercepted Uzumaki #1, who was carrying the sealed girl on his back.

"Old man," Hikaru said coldly, "leave her."

"She's important to me."

"I hope you won't make the mistake of testing my patience."

#1 stepped back instinctively, shielding the scroll-bound girl behind him.

He stared at the young Uchiha before him—an absurdly powerful shinobi. Damn it, he thought. How did the Uchiha produce someone like this?

There was only one option left.

"Hmph!"

"Important to you? Then here's my advice, kid—learn when to back down."

"I may not be able to defeat you, but I can take you down with me."

"Leave. Now."

Hikaru smirked and calmly dispelled his Susanoo. He faced him directly, revealing his glowing blue Mangekyō Sharingan.

"Oh? You're planning to drag me to the grave?"

"The sealing technique you're about to use—"

"Is it the Demonic Seal?"

!!!

His pupils contracted sharply. He stumbled back, pointing at Hikaru's eyes in disbelief.

"Impossible!"

"How do you know that technique!? The Demonic Seal has never been shared outside the Uzumaki clan!"

"And your eyes… that blue Mangekyō…"

"What are you?!"

From within his body, the Six-Tailed Saiken stirred restlessly.

"Listen … this Mangekyō isn't like anything I've seen before. Be careful."

"We can't win this fight. We need to escape."

Tailed Beasts feared Mangekyō Sharingan—especially techniques like Tsukuyomi or Kotoamatsukami that robbed them of freedom.

But the fear Saiken felt now was different.

This chakra… it felt like him.

Like the Sage of Six Paths.

More than that—this human's presence gave Saiken the sensation of being prey.

Not fusion. Not control.

Consumption.

Like this man could devour him.

Hikaru took a single step forward.

In that moment, He froze.

Hikaru effortlessly walked behind him, ignoring the threat entirely, and lifted the sealed girl onto his shoulder.

"I'm not interested in your fight," he said coldly. "And I don't belong to your version of the Uchiha."

With that, he turned and disappeared with her in his arms.

Moments later, Hikaru appeared in a quiet glade—lush, green, and untouched by war.

"Sword," he said, "remove the seal on her."

A black mist unfurled from the seal on his wrist, spreading over the scroll and burning away the sealing tags one by one.

"Tch. This chakra is disgusting." A sultry voice purred. "Next time you ask me to do this, you better make it worth my while~"

A soft pink tongue dragged along Hikaru's cheek before the mist retreated back into his arm.
