Athenia had warned him about those souls, but he'd been too busy fighting a six-month-long war against a lesser general.
"It took me six months and about a hundred to two hundred people's sacrifice to kill that monster, I wonder if I'm fit for this role if something like that has affected me so much…" Lifting his head, Raven looked around at the girl's faces. Each seemed hesitant to ask anything else after finally realizing what's been bothering him. "I know I can be a monster. My fae part…It would've ended the war much sooner–maybe with more sacrifices, but it would've done a much better job."
"But that won't be you then, that would be–"
"A monster, I know." Cutting off Rose, Raven placed a hand on her cheek and pulled her closer. "But when the whole world is on the verge of collapse, every second matters–and six months for a lesser general–that might as well be forever."
Locking his lips with hers for just a moment, Raven let go of her face and heaved a sigh. He was tired, but there was no room to rest, and at the same time, the soldier did require rest. They'd been fighting night and day against horrors for months, and although it had helped them become stronger, if they were to be pushed too far without rest, their bones might as well just shatter for standing straight one day.
"Not to mention, I have to check on Mono again–Shamisha told me that she'd been acting strange again…" Pulling himself out from within the crowd, Raven grabbed hold of his clothes lying on the floor and began getting dressed. "You three should head back to the mansion, I'll join you guys in a day or two."
"Are you sure you'll be okay?" Asked Rose, visibly shaken by the sudden change in his behaviour.
"I'll be fine." Turning around while buttoning his shirt, Raven looked into Rose's eyes and forced a smile on his face. "And don't worry, I'll have Erika check me for anything abnormal once she's back from the goddess's chambers."
"If you say so, but still don't push yourself too hard!" Rose advised, and with a nod, Raven began walking closer to the girls and with a light lean forward he grabbed Rose by her tits and pulled her closer yet again. "Eahh~"
Letting out a moan, she looked at him with quivering eyes, and that's when, with a smirk on his face, Raven brought his lips next to her ear and whispered.
"Once I'm back we're gonna fuck all day, so rest up plenty because I'm not gonna let you off the hook as easily as today." To his words, a deep blush crept up Rose's cheeks, and although Raven had whispered to her, the others could still hear what he'd said and were left blushing as well.
But for now, his words were all they were gonna get–for before he could return to them, much like Mel and Aria, Raven had a few rounds to make in different cities. And unbeknownst to him for now, before being able to head out, Mino would arrive with another piece of news that would delay his visit to Elenaris and the nameless city.
