Luo Zheng did not expect herself to be so weak that she could not even walk normally.
She had clearly decided previously, that she would take the rap for Mr. Bodyguard and yet… in the blink of an eye, she slipped into a coma for two days. She reckoned that the police may have already arrested Bo Hancheng and he might have been sentenced!
The more she thought about it, the more afraid and frightened she became. She suddenly felt useless for being unable to stop the tragedy from happening.
While on the verge of despair, she could not help but cry helplessly.
Hence, Luo Zheng did not notice that the door of the hospital ward had already been quietly opened by the slender man who slowly walked towards the bed.
“Luo Zheng, what are you crying for?”
It was just an ordinary sentence but it made Luo Zheng feel startled, as the familiar voice filled her ears.
All of a sudden, hope seemed to have blossomed within her like a flower, while she was feeling hopeless.
Luo Zheng raised her head in shock and met a pair of abyss-like eyes. He was just one step away from her and he looked handsome, cold and stunning. His gaze was breathtaking and she could not help but be conscientious.
“Brother Cheng, you didn’t go to jail!”
Her eyes were full of tears and she suddenly burst into smiles which were extremely precious.
Bo Hancheng thought that if it were not for the genuine thoughts that she revealed during the drug relapse… he would have definitely been fooled and thought that she was smiling for him!
He might have really believed that he was the… only one in her heart.
Unfortunately, it was all false and she was just putting on an act!
“Do you want me to go to jail?” he questioned composedly.
Hope for him to go to jail? Of course not!
Luo Zheng was overjoyed and hence did not sense that something was amiss about him. She extended her arm forcefully and accurately hugged his thigh.
Although everyone was watching in shock and puzzlement, she did not seem to find anything wrong with the position that they were in… Not only did she fail to realize how awkward it is, she even looked up and smiled at him foolishly. “Brother Cheng, has the matter already been settled? You’ll be fine, right… ”
She really did seem like a pet who was anxious, worried and staring at him eagerly.
Bo Hancheng did not ignore her and instead answered calmly, “Yes.”
He then paused and glanced at his thigh to see that she was hugging him so naturally, so much that his heart raced. “Let go… ”
After hearing this, Luo Zheng snapped back to reality and realized that she was holding onto his thigh. She then looked at the nurses and doctors around her to see that they were staring at her peculiarly.
She smiled awkwardly and let go while feeling a little envious. Brother Cheng has got a really nice pair of legs!
Luo Zheng felt much more relieved after ensuring that he was fine. She was suddenly overwhelmed with pain that was present in her arms, head, abdomen and everywhere else!
Seeing that he was right in front of her, Luo Zheng extended her arms and said coquettishly, “Brother Cheng, I fell down because of you. Carry me!”
She thought that he would accept her since she had risked her life for him and proved herself to be genuine to him.
Yet, he stared at her coldly and ignored her request. Instead, he said to the nurse, “Help her up and give her a checkup.” The nurse nodded politely and proceeded to help Luo Zheng.
Luo Zheng finally realized that there was something off about his behavior and emotions… though she was unsure if she was just being sensitive. She felt that he was extremely cold and distant towards her, and was even more aloof to her now than before she approached Scarface!
Their relationship did not improve and instead, he became colder.
Her presence was dispensable to him!
Feeling aggrieved, Luo Zheng shunned the nurse and said stubbornly like a child, “I want Brother Cheng to carry me. If Brother Cheng doesn’t carry me, I won’t get up!”
