Not long ago, when she asked Sophie Smith to get a role from Asher Land for her, she still said she wasn’t familiar with Asher Land, so how come now...
"Sophie, you really are..."
Sophie Smith didn’t say anything, she lowered her head, which was a silent admission. After all, things had come to this, and she didn’t want to deceive Eva Miller any longer.
"So, never say such things in front of me again." He curled his lips into a mocking smile, his gaze sizing her up directly.
Sophie Smith could no longer face Eva Miller. Any clear-eyed person knew that Asher Land’s woman should be a rich or illustrious lady from a noble family, and certainly not someone like her, a mere actress. She was just his woman hidden in the shadows.
"If you’re done talking, you can leave now." Asher Land said to Eva Miller coldly.
Eva Miller didn’t say anything. Her heart was filled with mixed emotions, and she quietly left.
The room suddenly plunged into dead silence.
"What, planning not to talk to me anymore?" He spread his hands with an indifferent expression.
Sophie Smith glanced at him coldly. Right now, she just wanted to shout a few insults at him, so it was better not to speak to avoid his petty nature.
"Sophie, remember your place." He reminded her again. He didn’t even know why he kept reiterating that she was his woman. Perhaps it was his strong sense of possession at play.
She didn’t need his constant reminders. To be honest, sometimes she craved the sense of security that came from being his woman, but she also felt ashamed of being his hidden woman.
Later, Robert Williams brought Nanny Garcia to the hospital to take away the luggage. Asher Land, with empty hands, led Sophie Smith to the underground parking lot.
He gentlemanly opened the car door for her and fastened her seatbelt.

Asher Land drove her to the Land Family villa. The servants were already prepared for her arrival.
"Young Master, the meal is ready. Would you like to eat first, or..." the maid asked tentatively.
"What about you?" Asher Land didn’t answer directly but instead asked Sophie Smith’s opinion.
"I want to take a bath first."
Having been recuperating in the hospital, she had too many wounds and couldn’t touch water, so all she wanted right now was a nice hot shower.
Sophie Smith had just stepped into the bathroom, and before she could tightly close the door, it was pushed open by Asher Land.
"What are you trying to do?" she asked warily.
"Considering you’re injured and have limited mobility, I kindly thought I’d help you."
"You’d better not trouble yourself." Sophie Smith gripped the doorknob tightly, her mouth curving in a false smile, "I haven’t lost my arms or legs, no need to bother you."
"No need to be polite with me."
Sophie Smith hesitated at the door, how could she escape his ’clutches’?
"Are you bathing or not?" he said impatiently, "I’m doing this for your own good, don’t dawdle."
