"Answer me, yes or no?" His gaze was somewhat icy. Sophie Smith took two steps back, her back against the cold wall.
"What’s wrong with you?" Her eyes were clear and innocent; she had no idea what she had done to provoke him.
Asher Land lowered his head and kissed her red lips with a hint of vengeance.
The kiss made her feel a bit uncomfortable.
He pushed her onto the bed, roughly pulling off her nightdress.
He kissed her neck, the root of her ear, all the way downward.
She kept her eyes shut tight, her lashes trembling gently. Even though his sudden actions scared her, she did not resist him.
Just as things reached a fever pitch, and he intended to go further, her words echoed in his mind, and suddenly, he lost interest.
"Not doing it." He said, passive-aggressively, and withdrew from her, then got off the bed and walked straight out of the bedroom.
When Sophie opened her eyes again, she only heard the loud sound of the door slamming shut.
She tremblingly picked up the quilt, tightly covering her naked body.
What did he take her for? A rag doll stripped and left on the bed for anyone’s amusement?
Her eyes were red; she bit her pale lips so hard, forcing herself not to think about him.
Sophie didn’t sleep all night. She took out the tie from the drawer that she had planned to give him, held it for a long time, and finally resolved to still give it to him.
She now only hoped that his anger yesterday wasn’t because of her.
When she came out of the master bedroom, she happened to run into Asher Land coming down from the third-floor study.

"Did you sleep well last night?" Curiously, Sophie found herself asking out of concern.

Asher Land snorted inwardly; last night, he was burning with desire, how could he have slept well?
"Very well." Yet the words contradicted his actual situation as soon as they left his mouth.
"Oh, that’s good." Sophie lowered her head, stumbling over her words, and didn’t speak for a long time. Asher Land glanced at the tie box in her hand, immediately guessing what she intended to do.
"This is the birthday gift I prepared for you yesterday, but I didn’t have the chance to give it to you..."
She handed the tie box in front of him, a bit of expectation in her eyes.
Asher Land took the box from her hand casually, opened it, glanced at the tie, and took it out.
"It’s ugly as hell. Do I, Asher Land, have such poor taste?" He threw the box directly onto the floor.
"Asher Land, you!..." Sophie felt a tightness in her chest. How could he act ? Damn it!
Sophie secretly cursed him a thousand times in her heart.
The argument seemed imminent; Sophie took a deep breath, then ran downstairs, grabbing her car keys and coat.
"Miss Smith, where are you going so early in the morning? Have breakfast before you leave." Nanny Garcia stopped her.
"I’m not eating. I can’t eat after seeing that pervert!"
Nanny Garcia was puzzled. A pervert? Who’s a pervert?
But within seconds, Nanny Garcia understood; Sophie has always been sensible and never used foul language. Only one person could make her act out of character.
And that was their young master.
Asher Land bent down to pick up the tie box from the floor, then carefully put the tie back inside.
In front of her, he completely lost his ability to control himself; a single word from her could drive him utterly insane.
