Outside, a light drizzle had started. Asher Land sat inside the car, waiting for Robert Williams to finish unloading the luggage and come over to open the door and bring an umbrella for him.
His eyes glanced out the window, only to see a delicate pink figure holding a large umbrella walking towards him.
He stretched his long legs, opened the car door, and walked out.
"It’s cold outside, why did you come out?" He took the umbrella from her hand and held it over both of their heads.
She didn’t really know how to explain herself.
Asher Land said nothing more, just held her by the waist as they walked towards the hall together.
The servants had already gathered together, and upon seeing Asher Land enter, they all lowered their heads in greeting.
"Young master, the meal is ready, do you want to..."
Asher Land handed the umbrella to Nanny Garcia and looked down at Sophie Smith with a smile in his eyes.
"Do you want to eat first?" Sophie, confused by his gaze, asked him in return.
He bent down and lifted her horizontally, carrying her upstairs.
"Don’t do this..." she muttered softly in his arms, "everyone’s watching!"
"So what if they are? Everyone knows about us, are you still afraid of being seen?"
In the midst of the servants’ blushing whispers, he carried her all the way to the master bedroom.
He set her down on the bed, then lay down beside her.
"On the phone, you haven’t answered me yet. Did you miss me?"
"No." She might have been a bit dishonest, but she only wanted him back because she had something to tell him. So technically, it wasn’t the kind of ’missing’ he meant.
Very well, he lifted her skirt, his large hand reaching between her legs. Caught off guard, Sophie let out a stifled moan.
"Seems like your body misses me quite a bit."
"What are you talking about?" Sophie pushed him away, glaring at him, "Go take a shower and we’ll eat later."
Reluctantly, he planted a kiss on her forehead before heading to the bathroom.
Sophie sat by the bedside, thinking about how she was going to tell him about the child, or how to make him receptive to the idea of having a child.

This feeling was so wonderful; he had missed her terribly during his absence.
His kiss landed on her lips, fervently tasting her.
Gradually, Sophie began to respond to him.
He gently laid her on the bed, his large hands slipping around her back to unzip her dress, his kisses trailing from her ear to her neck and further down.
Sophie’s breath came in soft pants, her body felt disconnected, weightless, as if she were floating among the clouds.
He removed his robe, and both were overcome with emotion, only a step away from fulfillment.
Just as his hand went to grab the condom from the bedside table, a small hand was suddenly placed on top of his.
"Hmm?" he uttered a deep sound, staring somewhat puzzled at the woman beneath him.
Sophie’s body was soft and weak; looking into his eyes, she suddenly felt a twinge of fear about speaking the words she needed to say.
"I will be gentle," he whispered into her ear.
However, her hand showed no intention of moving away.
