"Oh, it’s alright," Eva Miller waved her hands repeatedly.
"Do you know why I called you over?"
Oliver Johnson chuckled lightly, "I thought you knew."
"Well, I really don’t know." She continued to feign ignorance.
"It’s nothing, just wanted you to keep me company."
Feeling very depressed, unable to find anyone to confide in, suddenly his mind drifted to that woman he had shared a one-night affair with.

Oliver’s smile deepened at the corner of his lips, he didn’t seem as despicable as she thought, right?
He went on a business trip to C City the day before yesterday, and just got back from the airport at nine tonight. The airport is quite far from home, so he didn’t plan to go home and found a hotel instead.

Her answer left him a bit taken aback, his hand holding the wine glass became a little stiff.

Her voice was very, very small, but it didn’t prevent him from hearing clearly.
