"Honey, it’s my fault." Asher Land pushed through the crowd surrounding her, walking up to her amidst the envious gazes of everyone. "I’ll definitely buy you the ring you want. Can you please come home with me?"
"I..." Sophie Smith was at a loss for words. Now she finally understood what tricks Asher Land was playing.
Great, now everyone around her believed it to be true, thinking Asher Land was really her husband. With Asher Land’s cunning fox-like face, how could they be so deceived?
"I really have no relation with him, everyone please don’t misunderstand. He... he’s not my husband." Sophie Smith tried hard to argue.
"Don’t deny it." Asher Land chuckled, "I know your height, weight, and measurements inside out, including your chest..."
"Enough!" Sophie Smith couldn’t stand it any longer. Indeed, he knew her body better than she did.
"Miss Smith, you should go back. Your husband is so handsome, gentle, and considerate. It’s truly a blessing for you. Don’t fail to appreciate your good fortune."
Sophie Smith was hemmed in the center of the crowd, unable to move, and thanks to Asher Land, a huge throng of women gathered, all trying to persuade her as if she had committed some grave crime.
The situation escalated, Sophie Smith couldn’t handle it anymore.
"Fine, I’ll go home with you, alright?" She was practically driven mad.
"Alright." Asher Land flashed his signature, heart-melting gentle smile that could charm a whole crowd. "Thank you, love, for forgiving me."
So, under the watchful eyes of the crowd, she reluctantly got into Asher Land’s car.
She sat in the passenger seat, saying nothing, seemingly still upset about what had just happened.
Asher Land didn’t mind. He only cared about the end result of matters he undertook; as for the process, however it happened, it was fine.
"You seem to mind others calling me gentle and considerate?" A displeased voice spoke.
"You noticed that, huh." Sophie Smith smirked slightly, "I didn’t realize President Land has such self-awareness."
It was now Asher Land’s turn to be speechless, surprised at how quick-witted his woman had become.
Over the three-hour drive, the conversation between the two was sparse, while the ringing of the phone sounded like a death knell as Asher Land took call after call, one hand on the steering wheel, Bluetooth earpiece in place.
Turns out he was busy every day; if that was the case, why did he still persistently seek her out? He truly has energy to spare.

Asher Land dropped her off at the apartment building and drove back to the company.
