She wasn’t trying to express her grievances, but rather feeling unjust for Isabella slapping him.

"Did he say anything last night?"

"President Land, did he say how he was going to deal with Isabella? After all, Isabella offended that man."
"Oh, ..." Sophie felt a little bitter inside for some reason. "You don’t need to worry. He has too many things to handle every day. He wouldn’t bother with such small matters," she said calmly.
"Hmm, that’s good." Edward sighed in relief.
Sophie knew he was definitely afraid Isabella might get hurt, which was why he had called her.
