Asher Land looked at the photos taken with the camera, his face darkening.
Who is this man beside his woman? How come he is so close to her?
He deleted the photos one by one, then tossed the camera to Robert Williams.
His gaze shifted to the hotel entrance, and suddenly, a familiar figure caught his eye.
"President Land, Miss Smith..." Robert noticed an unfamiliar man holding Sophie Smith’s body as they walked to a car, feeling concerned, "President Land, should I go bring Miss Smith back? She seems to have fainted."
A cold gleam flashed in Asher Land’s eyes. Who is this man? Did he grow bold enough to scheme against his woman?
"Follow them." Asher Land didn’t directly instruct Robert to bring Sophie Smith back; instead, he followed their vehicle.
Arlo took Sophie Smith to a nearby hotel, booking a room.
He supported Sophie Smith into the room, placing her on the bed, and as he was about to close the door, he was caught off guard by a lightning-fast punch to his face, knocking him to the floor.
Asher Land stepped into the room, with Robert Williams quickly following to close the door.
Asher Land kicked Arlo’s chest, his polished leather shoes cruelly trampling Arlo’s right hand.
"Just now, did you touch her with this hand?" he sneered, "You’ve got some nerve!"
"Who are you? Let me go!" Arlo struggled to get up but was firmly subdued by Asher Land.
"Why don’t you tell me who you are first?" The ferocity in his eyes made even the robust Arlo feel a bit scared, his voice losing its confidence.
"I’m Arlo, from the same drama crew as Sophie."
Oh, so he’s from the same crew.
"And didn’t you hear that she’s my woman, Asher Land’s?" He curled his lips disdainfully, "Are you sure you want to touch her?"
Arlo had heard of him before, but when he overheard several actresses speaking behind his back, he thought it was just a rumor!
He naturally knew of Asher Land’s power in Eastern City, so he was even more skeptical that Sophie would truly be involved with such a big figure, but now it seems...
Asher Land increased the pressure on Arlo’s hand, as if there were sounds of bones cracking.
Arlo grimaced in pain but was unable to resist.
"Take Sophie outside; don’t disturb her sleep."

Robert understood what Asher Land intended, quickly taking Sophie from the bed and leaving, closing the door.
"Tell me the truth, what was your purpose in bringing her to the hotel?" His tone brooked no argument.
"I- I just wanted to hype things up, I didn’t mean any harm..." Arlo began to plead, "I’m sorry, President Land, please let me go."
Wanting to use his woman to gain fame?
"If you’re so keen on attracting attention, tell me, if I kill you here, certainly it would stir quite the commotion tomorrow?"
He grabbed Arlo by the collar, lifting him off the ground, and delivered another punch.
Robert Williams, having settled Sophie Smith, walked in once more.
"President Land, let me handle this kind of matter."
Robert brought over a chair and placed it to the side; Asher Land sat on the leather chair, leisurely crossing his long legs.
Robert brought out a rope, binding Arlo’s hands behind him, then used black tape to seal his mouth.
