"Sister Sunny, Eva is my best friend. She’s pretty and her acting skills are great. You really have to look after her," Sophie Smith said to Sunny.
"Don’t worry, I’ll naturally help Eva out. I’m quite pleased with Eva," Eva Miller is lively and cheerful, and also modest and polite, which Sunny is very pleased with.
The three gathered again to chat for a while before dispersing.
"Sophie, did you take leave to take care of the pregnancy?" Eva asked, pulling Sophie aside.
"Yes." Sophie nodded.
"Wow, soon I can be a godmother, I’m really looking forward to it!" Eva seemed more excited than Sophie.
The two were talking as they walked out the company doors, when suddenly a car stopped in front of them, the window rolled down, and Oliver Johnson’s smiling face appeared before them.
He opened the car door and stepped out.
"Miss Smith, what a coincidence to meet you here."
"I don’t want to see you." Sophie was still quite upset with Oliver Johnson, she turned her head and looked elsewhere.
"Sophie, why are you so full of yourself? Brother Johnson came to find me, okay? Why are you saying you don’t want to see him? I told you, it’s a coincidence..." Eva shook her head and said.
Oliver Johnson specifically came to find Eva?
Sophie felt a bit awkward, staying silent.
"It’s all right, Miss Smith really doesn’t want to see me." Oliver Johnson wasn’t bothered, his attitude towards her was ********.
"Sophie, Brother Johnson’s friend opened a western restaurant in Pleasant Garden District and invited us to try some dishes today. Will you come with us?" Eva shook Sophie’s arm, "Come with us, haven’t you eaten yet?"
Sophie glanced at Oliver Johnson and found that his gaze was fixed on her.
Sophie was unsure about the exact nature of Eva and Oliver Johnson’s relationship but, judging by their current actions, she thought it might be better than she had assumed.
"Miss Smith, just consider it as accompanying Eva. If you don’t want to see me, I won’t sit at your table later."
Oliver Johnson deliberately used Eva’s name to persuade her.
Eva naturally understood Oliver Johnson’s intention. When has he ever called her Eva? Now he’s , trying to get close, all because of Sophie.
If Sophie refused again, it would make her seem petty.
She nodded, considering it as a promise.
Eva quickly opened Oliver Johnson’s car door for her.
To avoid an awkward atmosphere, she kept talking to Sophie. Oliver Johnson glanced through the rearview mirror, noticing Sophie seemed absent-minded, although she talked to Eva, her responses were just casual.
The car quickly stopped at the western restaurant in Pleasant Garden District, owned by one of Oliver Johnson’s friends from the United Kingdom.
"Hi, Oliver, I didn’t expect you to actually come!" Joy greeted Oliver Johnson in not-so-fluent Chinese.
"I’m the one with good fortune; I must try the dishes you personally made later."
"Sure, no problem," Joy readily agreed.
His gaze went past Oliver Johnson’s shoulder and saw two standard Oriental beauties, grinning with delight.
"Wow, Oliver, you’re really something, bringing two ladies here. Are you going to introduce one to me?" Joy joked.
"You’re overthinking it," Oliver Johnson directly ignored Joy, "Don’t mind him, he talks like that."
