"President Johnson, do you think I’m right?"
Someone began to jeer, while Sophie Smith stood there, contemplating whether she should turn and leave without hesitation or brace herself to call out to Oliver Johnson once more.
She looked up and noticed Oliver Johnson standing up.
"Everyone, please excuse me." He curved his lips into a slight smile, as if to apologize to everyone present, then walked toward her direction.
"Let’s go." He said quietly to her.
"Okay." Sophie felt a little relieved after getting his response, and she followed his steps to leave, as the gazes from those in the private room were too complex.
Just as Sophie was about to enter the private room, Oliver Johnson pulled her to a secluded corner.

"In broad daylight and openly, what could I possibly do to you?" He released her hand, "Let’s talk."
"Why can’t it be said inside?"
"We’ll talk right here."
Sophie didn’t know what Oliver Johnson intended to say. After hesitating for a moment, she spoke, "Go ahead, don’t take too long, if we don’t return soon, Eva will get suspicious."
"I apologize to you, for that matter."
"You think one apology is enough for me to forgive you?" Her lips curled into a taunting smile, "I’m not that magnanimous."
Oliver Johnson smirked slightly; was her attitude still so resolute?
"So, do you want to be enemies with me for life?" he retorted.
"Yes, I forced you to betray Asher Land, but couldn’t you see what Asher Land did to suppress Hush Sky? When he personally went to Italy to attract Hush Sky’s biggest client, John, you must know about that, right? Oh, John later told me that there was a very beautiful woman with Asher Land at that time, that must have been you."
Sophie had some surprise in her eyes, and she awkwardly shifted her gaze elsewhere.
"Now, Golden Era already holds more than thirty percent of Hush Sky’s shares, which means in the shareholders’ meetings, Asher Land possesses enormous power and can turn Hush Sky upside down at any time; you can’t see these things either, can you?"
"I threatened you using your father, but I never intended to harm him, you know that? I really don’t want to be that unforgivable villain in your heart."
Sophie’s small hand clenched slightly. She opened her mouth but didn’t speak.
"Alright, I’ve said what I needed to say. As long as your father is willing, you can take him away anytime." There was a hint of disappointment in his eyes; her unwillingness to forgive him was understandable, yet his ever-proud self humbled so much just to seek forgiveness from a woman.
Before he could take a step, she suddenly spoke.
"Thank you for taking care of my father during this time." She took a deep breath, then slowly exhaled, "Let’s reconcile."
Oliver Johnson’s body tensed slightly.
She said, let’s reconcile?
So, she is willing to forgive him? This unexpected surprise left his mind in chaos, unsure of what to say.
"Let’s go back inside. If we delay any longer, Eva will be worried and start looking for us." She gave him a soft smile, then walked ahead of him.
She wasn’t sure, perhaps as Oliver Johnson said, there were many things she couldn’t see.
But in her heart, even if Asher Land was wrong, she would still strive to forgive him.
