He didn’t hang up the phone, continuously comforting her.
He quickly returned to the Land Family home.
"What exactly happened?" He held her frail body, asking anxiously.
Sophie Smith was equally anxious, speaking with a hint of confusion.
She showed him the photos on her phone and conveyed the content of the call from the unfamiliar man.
Asher’s sharp eyes already showed a sign of understanding.
"Slope Ridge, right? Let’s go there now." She got into the car with him, and he drove fast, making Sophie inexplicably nervous.

The car soon stopped near Slope Ridge.
It was a remote suburb with extremely narrow roads that were impassable by vehicles. Sophie followed Asher out of the car, trudging along a somewhat muddy path.
