Wyatt Sterling watched her leave without taking his eyes off her, then saw her get into another car through the rearview mirror.
That was Asher Land’s car, he recognized it immediately.
A helpless smile tugged at the corners of his mouth as he started his car and quickly disappeared into the night.
Sophie Smith tried to open the door of Asher Land’s car, but found it locked from the inside.
She knocked on the window, but the man inside acted as if he didn’t see her. So, was he not planning to let her in?

Fine, if he wouldn’t let her in, she’d just take a taxi. Sophie didn’t think much of it and decisively turned to leave.

"Get in the car," the man said, clearly jealous.
