When Isabella Yates saw Sophie Smith, her gaze darkened. She hadn't expected that Sophie had gotten close to Asher Land.

Sophie desperately wanted to find a place to hide. She couldn't believe she was caught by Isabella Yates with Asher Land. Now, there was no way to clear her name. But she didn't have any explanation to give in the first place.
"Sophie, fancy meeting you here, how nice." Isabella smiled as she walked forward, holding Sophie's hands with an affectionate look that left Sophie stunned.
She and Isabella had never gotten along. What was Isabella up to now?
"You know her?" Asher Land raised an eyebrow and asked.
"She's my classmate, my college roommate." Sophie replied flatly.
Isabella's behavior toward her was just an attempt to get closer to Asher Land, but Sophie seemed unwilling to entertain her. If Sophie hadn't gotten close to Asher Land, Isabella wouldn't even bother with her.
The smoke and clinking glasses created an atmosphere Sophie detested. She pushed away Asher Land's hand tightly wrapped around her waist, stood up, and headed to the restroom.
Asher frowned, dissatisfied with her departure, but he said nothing.
Sophie braced her hands on the sink's edge in the restroom, gently splashing her face with cold water, feeling more clear-headed.
She looked up at her reflection in the mirror, a bitter smile appearing on her lips.
She had now openly attended events with Asher Land. Everyone knew she was Asher Land's woman.
She snapped back to reality, only to see the person she least wanted to meet at that moment.
"Sophie, you really have skills, getting close to such a powerful patron like President Land." Isabella stood blocking the doorway, her words dripping with sarcasm.
"So what? Are you planning to make it known to everyone?"
Isabella hated her, and now she seemed to have found an opportunity to humiliate her.
"Ha, rest assured, I won't spread it around because you're not worth the envy."
Almost everyone believed that having any connection with Asher Land was her fortune, and the fact that their relationship wasn't exposed was supposedly because it wasn't worth envying. This completely upended her worldview and values.
"Well, I really thank you for that." Sophie said, without even lifting her eyelids, and walked past Isabella standing at the door, heading back to the private room.
"Sophie, you're such a bitch!" came Isabella's sarcastic voice from behind.
Sophie paused for three seconds, hesitated, then turned around and walked up to Isabella, a composed smile on her lips.
"And who's the real bitch?" she scoffed, a hint of disdain in her eyes, "Aren't you here to accompany men as well? We're in the same boat, except I'm with the richest man in Eastern City."
As she uttered those words, her heart twisted in pain.
Isabella was right; she truly was a bitch!
