In the midst of the glowing light, its appearance was rapidly changing.
That was evolution!
A moment later, the light dissipated, and a very strong Naclstack appeared before Naoki.
With this, all five Nacli had fully evolved.
"Stack~!" (Evolved, so happy!)
"Congratulations, Naclstack." Naoki stood up, looking at the five Naclstack in front of him with emotion.
He recalled the scene when he first encountered them.
To be honest, there’s nothing more fulfilling in this world than watching a Pokemon evolve and grow up right before your eyes.
From little guys to big ones, from weak Pokemons with no self-defense ability to strong contenders.
Perhaps this is the joy of nurturing?
Naoki chatted with the group of Naclstack for a while, and seeing one of them showing a sleepy expression, he decided to leave.
"I won’t disturb your rest, see you tomorrow!"
"Stack~" (See you tomorrow~)
Just as he was about to leave, he suddenly heard a rustling sound from the corner of the cave.
Huh?
Naoki was a bit surprised, thinking it might be another wild Pokemon attracted to this cave.
With curiosity, he stepped forward and soon saw a small mound on a flat piece of ground.
There were faint sounds coming from inside.
"Squeak squeak squeak!" (Can’t see me, can’t see me, squeak!)
Naoki: "..."
Oh, he thought this Diglett had run away! Turns out it was hiding underground!
He called out, "Diglett, come out, I can see you already!"
With that, Naoki saw the small mound, as if startled, turn and scurry deeper.
Naoki said helplessly, "Diglett, don’t run, stay and work for me. I will provide you with food every day, as long as you can help me till the land!"
With these words, the fleeing Diglett stopped.
It cautiously poked its head out of the mound: "Squeak?" (Really?)
"Of course it’s true," Naoki smiled, "Your past incidents of damaging the farmland will be forgotten. Now, I want to formally hire you to work at the ranch. As compensation, I’ll provide you with three meals a day."
"Squeak?!"
Diglett was both surprised and delighted.
The word count is exhausted, Naoki couldn’t understand Diglett’s words, but judging by its expression, it seemed to have agreed.
After a brief thought, he said, "Then from today on, you can live here!"
Digletts make their nests underground, and they rarely come to the surface because the strong sunlight makes their bodies weak.
Naoki paused, then continued, "I’ll come and call you when I need you."
Coincidentally, he was planning to expand the sunflower planting area in the next few days. With a Diglett good at tilling, the work would be much easier, and he could open up more land for farming.
This way, the more crops planted, the greater the chance for them to mutate under Gogoat’s Grassy Terrain.
Diglett squeaked a few times in agreement.

Diglett said it had been in the area all along because its nest is here.
Unseen by Naoki, directly beneath the ranch, it had dug many small tunnels and usually didn’t come to the surface.
There wasn’t any food above ground before, until recently, when Diglett discovered that there were people living above its burrow and crops planted there.
It was attracted to the crops, and then everything else happened.
Hearing this, Naoki nodded, understanding that they were actually the newcomers to this land!
"No problem, then you can stay here!" Seeing Diglett glance at the Naclstack, Naoki reassured, "Rest assured, those Naclstack won’t harm you, they’re very gentle Pokemon."
"Squeak." Diglett agreed.
